Central Bucks East honored their seniors and hosted Pennsbury Friday afternoon at Patriots Stadium and came away with a convincing 17-2 victory. The Patriots came out slow and only led 1-0 at the end of the first quarter, but that is as close as it got. East came out firing on all cylinders in the second quarter, they scored 6 goals and held a comfortable 7-1 lead at the half. The third quarter was all Patriots as they scored 8 unanswered goals and took a commanding 15-1 lead.They scored two more in the fourth quarter and won by a final score of 17-2.


The Patriots offense was led by Ryan Brown who had 4 goals. Ryan Stout and Michael Ott each had a hat trick. Greg Scholz added a pair of goals, while Brant Billingsly, Ryan Schmidt, Ryan Gray, and Jeremy Powers chipped in with one goal each. Ott had 3 assists, Billingsly, Stout, and Scholz each had a pair of assists, while Brown, Gray, and Conor Larkin each had 1 assist. Ott dominated face-offs winning 13 of 15, Colin Stein won 2 of 2. Ott led East with 10 ground balls, Stout, Bryan McIntosh, and Larkin had 4, Brown had 3, Jake Ventresca, Stein, and John Galow had 2, while Jacob Manion, Liam Rosenthal, Scholz, and Bracken chipped in with 1 each.

Defensively for the Patriots, Liam Rosenthal was strong in goal with 5 saves, Brown,Stout, McIntosh, Larkin each had 2 caused turnovers, while Joe Thiroway, Tyler Tracy, and Galow each chipped in with 1.

Prior to the game Central Bucks East honored their six seniors - Ryan Brown (Salisbury University), Ryan Schmidt (Temple University), Alec Bracken (University of Delaware), Joe Thiroway (The Catholic University of America), Bryan McIntosh (Mount St. Mary's University), and Conor Larkin (Belmont Abbey College).

With the victory, East improved their record to 12-2, (7-0 SOL). The Patriots next game is Tuesday at 7 pm when they travel to War Memorial Stadium to take on cross-town rival Central Bucks West.
