GAME WRAP UP

The Pine Richland Rams traveled all the way from Western PA to take on the CB East Patriots on Friday afternoon. The Rams came to Patriot Stadium with a 7-0 record on the season, and went toe to toe with the Patriots from the very start. Brant Billingsley and Ryan Stout each scored goals in the first period to give the Patriots a quick 2-0 lead. After a second period goal by Jacob Manion made it 3-0, the Rams got on the board at the 5:31 mark to reduce the deficit to 3-1 at the half.

The teams battled for much of the third period until Ryan Bullotta scored at the 10:56 mark with an assist from Michael Ott. A short 90 seconds later, Bullotta scored again on a feed from Stout for a 5-1 lead. The Rams would add one goal in the third and one in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough as the Patriots’ Manion, Stout, and Greg Sholz, all scored in the fourth period on their way to a hard-fought 8-3 victory.

Stout led the scoring with 2 goals and 2 assists, while Bullotta had 2 goals and 1 assist. Manion scored 2 goals, Sholz had 1 goal and 1 assist, and Michael Ott pitched in with 2 assists.

Once again, the defense was solid. Veteran long-poles John Galow, Jake Kueny, Tyler Tracy, Nick Lyons and Joe Beahan kept the Rams on their heels by limiting them to 3 goals on the day. Liam Rosenthal had another big game with 13 saves on the day.

Ott won 8 faceoffs on the day. Jake Kueny also pitched in with 1 face-off win.

The Patriots travel to Avon Grove on Saturday, 4/14 for a 1:00 game.
