Council Rock South narrowly escaped Plymouth Whitemarsh in a Tuesday night tilt in the rain. Everything looked good for the Golden Hawks who held a 8-1 lead. Then with 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter the Colonials scored twice to narrow the gap 8-3 going into the final frame. Plymouth Whitemarsh rattled off four more goals. The last one is coming with 28 seconds to go. On the ensuing faceoff CR South drew a penalty. A final shot went wide with 4 seconds to go. Council Rock was able to snuff out a final shot. CR South goalie Billy Houser made a season high 19 saves including 6 in the 4th quarter to preserve the win.
TJ Shores led CR South in scoring with 3 goals. Conor McCaffery also had a multi-point game with 2 goals and 1 assist. Next week, Council Rock South (4-1) will host Souderton in a league game. Plymouth Whitemarsh will host Upper Moreland.

Plymouth Whitemarsh received two goals a piece from Sophomores Jack Cooper and Drew Strohl and Senior Brian Backenstose. Junior Attack Scott Margulies also scored for the Colonials. Plymouth Whitemarsh's comeback was led by a stellar second-half defensive effort from Junior LSM/Defender Isaiah Bainbridge, who had 4 caused turnovers and 4 groundballs, Sophomore defender Alex Frangiosa, with 2 caused turnovers, Junior midfielder/FO Luke LaViola, and Sophomore goalie Brian DeVitis who notched 12 saves.
