Comments: We had a 6-3 win in the beginning but with only winning 34% of the draws and Abington capitalizing off the draw quickly, we had difficulty maintaining the lead and getting it back. We did tie it up in the second half with about 18 minutes left, but turnovers and a lack of possession continue to be an issue for us and Abington had a lot of intensity today and went on draw control runs at key moments. I was happy to see the girls fight back but we need to make better decisions when the game gets tight and legs get tired. Maddie Maio had an excellent game for us with 3 caused turnovers, 4 ground balls and 1 assist and a goal. She gave us a lot of spark and hustle on both ends. Molly Naylor also had some key saves for us as well. We will continue to improve and hopefully come back stronger as we enter league play next week.
