The score was not indicative of the level of play. LC came out strong in the first half and scored the first goal of the game. We continued to go goal for goal until about the 13 minutes remaining in the first half, when we finally put some offense together. LC has some nice players on their team and played a tough game, especially while one of their best was missing.
Despite the score, our play was still sloppy at times. We need to clean it up or we are going to continue to struggle winning big games. It was nice to see a lot of different players with goal scoring opportunities. Jess Selverian tore her ACL this time last year. Finally just got cleared yesterday, and was able to score her first varsity goal. These are some of the small victories we are taking away from today's game.
