The Abington Lady Ghosts came out to play in their first regular season game of the 2024 season. Right off the start the Lady Ghosts gained control and took a 2-0 lead. Phoenixville was not backing down and took the draw control and scored a couple goals in a row to take the lead. After halftime Abington worked together to get back into the game and eventually take the lead. Phoenixville kept fighting and evened the score. After regulation time the score was tied 10-10. During the first overtime Phoenixville had most of the control and the Lady Ghosts defense and goalie Jayden Bagby had shut them down and caused a second over time. During the second overtime Phoenxville ended up getting the sudden death goal to beat Abington. The Lady Ghosts goals were lead by Katie Pennekamp with 5 followed by Harper and Piper McGinley with 2 goals each and Maddie Garry with 1 goal. On the defense side Carly Hughes and Katie Pennekamp over 10 caused turnovers together.
