Down majority of the entire game, Upper Merion came back to beat PW 12-11. With about 10 minutes minutes remaining, UM finally tied the score at 9-9, and then the game was back and forth until Dominique Gambone scored the winning goal of the game with 2:18 left to play. UM was also playing down a person in the most critical final minutes of the second half after a player received her second yellow card of the game. The team maintained their composure and managed to pull off the come-from-behind victory over league rival PW.
Gambone scored a total of 3 goals and had 1 assist. Her 2nd goal of the game came from an interception made just over the restraining line that she took in for the goal. Also contributing offensively were Amanda McAteer with 3 goals, 2 assists, Julia Reinert with 3 goals, 1 assist, Jackie Schauble with 2 goals and Liz Botto had 1 goal and 1 assist. Defensively UM came up with some huge plays including the interception and 10 forced turnovers. Defensive players, Anna Davis and Danielle SanFelice, each accounted for 2 of the forced turnovers in the defensive end. McAteer, Reinert and Botto led the team in ground ball control and Botto also dominated in draw control.
