Wissahickon High School Girls Lacrosse had to overcome a tough challenger in Pennsbury High School on Saturday, 3/28. Down 2-3 at the half, Wissahickon continued to get double and triple teamed by a strong Pennsbury defense. Laurine Irvine got the Lady Trojans moving in the second half with a goal in just under 11 seconds right off the draw. Redirecting and moving the ball, Wissahickon was able to get more points on the scoreboard as they scored 5 additional goals after Irvine. Along with Irvine's 1 goal, Shannon Stagliano, Emily Vervlied and Carolyn Wilde all added 2, and Marie Dickson had 1. Irvine, Vervlied, and Stagliano also contributed 1 assist each. Goalie Julie Silverman had an amazing game in goal, credited with 12 saves.
