CR South beat Souderton 5-1 tonite. We opened the scoring after 5 minutes, with Mike Burns scoring off a Frankie Rafferty assist. We were 3-0 up 20minutes later (Reid Vandemark from Giorgi Shinjiashvili, and Mike Burns from George Simon), and we held that lead into halftime. We were dominant in the first half and scored timely goals. Our intensity and focus was very good tonite and we kept souderton on the back foot for much of the game. The 2nd half was much of the same and we opened our lead to 5-0 with goals from Frankie Rafferty (George Obrien) and Reid Vandemark (Giorgi Shinjiashvili). Souderton pulled one back with 15minutes left, but we saw off the game nicely to secure the 3 pts. Mike Burns was energetic and very lively, and scoring a brace was his just reward - his best game in a South jersey! Giorgi was also excellent disrupting Souderton's quick passing, and breaking up their rhythm throughout - he also had a wonderful crossed ball for Reid's 2nd goal.
