Neshaminy Comments

Chris Amaro scored with .5 seconds remaining in the first half on a mad scramble from a corner kick. Vincent McGlynn picked up the assist. We generated a number of good chances in the first half but we just could not put it away. Nevin Baer picked off a Neshmainy pass, immediately passed to Sean Touey who beat a defender and went 1vs1 with the keeper, then tucked it in to tie the game at one, 30 seconds into the second half. Jack McCourt converted a slick pass from Dan Grindrod to make the score 2-1 (63rd minute). Jack McCourt scored his second goal 5 minutes later when Vince Hosephros alertly threw in a ball quickly to McCourt who broke in free on the keeper and rifled past him. It was a great win against a team that has been red hot. Our next four games (Abington, D-West, Pennsbury, & CR North) are against teams with a combined winning percentage of .807, it was great start in this difficult stretch.
