The Bensalem Owls tied the 5th ranked team in District 1 team today, 2-2 in double overtime.

Bensalem started off really strong and Ryan Antry earned a penalty shot within the first 6 minutes. Captain Jordan Lee stepped up to take the spot kick and he birdied it up. Bensalem was really dictating play and was really playing well. Bensalem would get a second goal in the first half created by Ryan Antry. Ryan beat his defender baseline and crossed it to Brian Gibson who deflected it past the keeper.

Bensalem would give up a goal in the 1st half to get within one of Bensalem. Pennsbury kept hitting long balls to try to get past the defense but Bensalem fought off a lot. Pennsbury eventually did get an equalizer. One of their goals was controversial and Bensalem was t happy with the call. The ball was played it high and keeper Chris Rowan caught the ball and was hit by a Pennsbury player and then the ball came loose and they finished the play for a goal. It was the only ball dropped by the Chris all day and it was because he was hit.

In both overtones each team had some opportunities but neither would break and the game ended 2-2 in double OT.
