We couldn't have asked for a better start from our girls tonight. To get one within the a minute of the game is huge...such a great run from Stella, but for some reason or the other tends to make the rest of the game a bit weird. I give a ton of credit and have a lot of respect for Avon Grove, their coaches, and players. We've got a bit of a history and they made us earn the win through and through.

We had runs of this game were I thought we settled in and pockets where we let the game get away from us a bit, but I am proud of our group for coming through with the result. In games like this you lean on your leadership, and Sofia Mignon was huge for us. Jessie Bernabe was a threat going forward when we got her the ball and I think Julia Santanello and Madelyn Hill are stringing together a couple of very good games. We walked away from this one saying we should've taken our chances better but we have to be thankful to our backline and keepers for keeping the clean sheet.

With a quick turnaround, we will take what we can from this game and all eyes go to Abington.
