Goal: Julia Santanello, Assist Sofia Mignon 7:30 remaining in H1

Sof hit a well driven shot to the left of the Keeper. Julia is a senior and is probably tired of me screaming "rebound" every day, but she did the work to make a play on the ball and finished it home. Julia's goal took some pressure out of the game and it's just one of the plays we've come to expect from her.

Goal: Sofia Mignon, unassisted 1:20 left in H1

Lauren Curry did a great job keeping possession alive near the end line and Julia Santanello put a ball back across the six but a South defender cleared the ball out. Sofia Mignon took one touch and hit a shot from the 30 yards out. It was one of the hardest hit shots I've seen at this level. That's Sof at her finest- wins the ball back in the right place and time, and produces brilliance.

I am proud of our group tonight. Coming off Friday's draw, I thought our girls approached this game well, stayed patient, and created a couple of high quality chances. I thought we hit our stride about twenty or so in and kept the intensity up for about the first twenty in the second half. To close out the game, South put us under pressure and made this game difficult to see through/

Sophie Schorn was big for us tonight both in the build up and in defending. Sof Mignon just continues to be at her best and Ava was a problem going forward. I thought Madelyn Hill had a streak of very good performances and Lauren Curry came in and game us the best minutes of her season when we needed her.

Overall, it was a good SOL battle against a very strong and very well-coached South team. I give South major credit... they make you work for everything.
