Central Bucks East Comments
After 100 minutes of play, nothing could separate us.

Going into this game, we knew we'd have to make a few adjustments to counteract Pennridge's front 3 and our kids just stuck to our plans and emptied the tank when the game got tough. Both teams played well enough to pick up 3 points, and while we are disappointed not to hold the lead, you couldn't ask for a better game between two really strong programs with a lot of respect for each other. Overall, I thought we had a really good first half and were positive in possession and looked sharp going forward. Grace Craig was a constant outlet for us to attack and created trouble. Kiera Sleicher and Ava Mignon were incredible tonight and Mia Forney earned us that free kick that we scored on with how she pressured the ball. With 19 minutes remaining, Grace Craig stepped up to the ball a bit outside of the 18 and scored a brilliant direct free kick.

The second half was very tight to start and eventually found ourselves defending really well in the midfield. As the second half wore on, Pennridge definitely hit another level and scored with 8 minutes remaining. We had to see through the last 5 minutes and Aralynn Patterson had to come up with a huge save near the end of the game. Pennridge had more of the ball in the overtime periods.

Both teams defended very well and our backline hit another level tonight. Katie Bullard and Sophie Schorn were lights out. It might have been Katie's best game. Jessie Bernabe stepped in to a spot where we really needed her and put in a shift defensively. Ultimately, we knew we'd all 11 kids on the field to show up and play good games and we did just about that.
