Central Bucks South – 6

Frustrating first half left us fighting from 5-0 down. Jules Purvy had a half-chance off the tap in the first half, but after that we were pinned in by a series of set pieces and attacks from South. We also had a good chance off a dangerous free kick from Nicole Schulingkamp, which eventually fell in the box to Hannah Beckett. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to capitalize.

Second half we settled in a bit and were controlling the ball more. I thought Khalan Hurley had a strong second half in net, coming up with some really big saves including an impressive double-save to deny two South attackers. We had a few quality chances in the half that we just weren’t able to put away. Beckett had another quality chance after some good build up that she put just over the bar. Schulingkamp had another chance off a free kick she shot low and to the corner, but the South goalkeeper was able to make a good save. Rylie Lowery had a well-placed shot from the top of the 18 curling to the far post that was also saved well by South’s keeper. In the end, we just couldn’t break through.

We face Pennridge at home on Tuesday.
