Today Bensalem Girls traveled to CRS and was fortunate enough to pull out a 2-1 win in the first OT. It was such a great game both team played their harts out. CRS was controlling most of the play in the beginning of the game. Our goalie Haley Esposito was coming up big and controlling her box extremely well. After about the first 15 minutes we started slowly finding our way. CRS scored with about 12 minutes left the first half.


We made some adjustments in the second half and the girls really started to support each other and we were able to score about half way with an assist to from Sydney McCoy to Caitlin Groves, Caitlin drove at the net and buried it. Both teams had their chances and both goalkeepers made some key saves. The game ended up in a 1-1 tie.

In OT the game was going back and forth. We were awarded a free kick around 40 yards out. Vanessa Shay took a beautifully free kick and found Devon Bell’s head and Devon was able to put it past the goalkeeper. Players that played well besides the girls listed Julia Leibig, Farrah Watson.
