It was a hot one today. We were lucky enough to pull out a win in double OT. Pennsbury scored first midway through the first half on a corner kick.
Bensalem scored on a corner from Farrah Watson to Devon Bell, Devon came running in and was able to put the ball past the goalkeeper.
Scoreless in the first 10 minute of OT. About 4 minutes in Brooke Esposito fed a through ball to Caitlin Groves. Caitlin was fouled from behind inside the penalty box. Bensalem was awarded a penalty kick. We called on Vanessa Shay to take the kick. She stepped up very calmly and drove the ball past the keeper.
It was so hot today that we counted on our bench to get through the game. Many girls from Bensalem had a great game.
