The stats say that we won this game, unfortunately the score does not. I am very proud of how the girls played this evening. The Team executed our game plan perfectly with a total team effort. Maddie Elwell despite being man-marked the entire 80 minutes played a superb game with five shots on frame and countless play-making passes. Emily Vervlied followed suite also contributing five shots on frame, and finding the back of the net at 67:58 coming off a Mary Mathews free-kick. Jasmine Bishop, Anna Wilde, and Rachel Colemen had fantastic games in their own right. And to Sam Comonitski, a recorded 5 wins of balls plucked out of the air. The entire Varsity Squad stepped up and played one of the best and prettiest games I’ve seen to date. We are only half way thru the season - I cant wait to see what comes out the other side.
