Game 6 Garnet Valley at Souderton
Souderton - 2
Garnet Valley - 1

Garnet Valley traveled to Souderton on Friday afternoon, where the Indians were able to hold onto a win, in a performance that could have and should have been more convincing. In the first half alone, Souderton tallied 15 shots and 5 corner kicks, but struggled to find the back of the net. A few smart saves from Garnet Valley's goalkeeper, combine with Souderton's inability to capitalize on their chances kept the game very close, despite Souderton's dominance. Souderton was able to find the back of the net with a little bit of luck, after a long range effort from Senior Sarah Readinger took an awkward hop off the grass field and popped over the diving goalkeeper. As the half went on Souderton appeared frustrated at their lack of goals, which led to Garnet Valley finding their way into the game a bit.

Souderton came out after the half looking a different team. Their slow start led to a chance for Garnet Valley, who found space in the wide areas and cut inside for a short. The save was made by Sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Molyneaux but the rebound fell too an on-rushing striker who was left unmarked for the simple finish. In a game that could have been easily 4-0 at half, Souderton found themselves in a deadlock with their opponents.

As the half went on, Souderton began to look like their first-half selves once more. Possession increased and momentum shifted in their favor. With 18 minutes left in the match, Readinger hit a shot from over 20 yards out that hit the bottom of the crossbar and just dropped behind the line to put her team up 2-1. Readinger grabbed her first brace of the year and was perhaps a bit unlucky not to grab a hat-trick.

The game ended 2-1. Souderton had a total of 25 shots, which is a good indication of how the match played out.
