The coaching staff has been reiterating to the team all season that offense will come from good defense and this was the case today. Our defense led by Theresa Ditri and Abi Meehan had another great game. We spent the first 10 minutes of the game in our defensive zone but we were able to hold off Upper Dublins surge and turn the game our way. Paige Marek opened the scoring off a direct kick from 20 yards out. Paige had a strong game in the middle today and it was great to see her convert that foul. Brielle Langford had the second goal of the first half from an assist by Bailey Kasner. Brielle's goal started from defender Madelon Senior who showed composure winning the ball and making a nice play to Kasner. The third goal was by Sofia Jakimoski on an assist from Lia Jablonoski. We had alot of support from our bench today and they all played well. It was key to be able to give some of our starters a rest as we have back to back games the end of this week.
