Great team effort today from our girls. We have grown since our last match up with Tennent, and we knew that if we gave them opportunities and chances that they would capitalize. Tennent is a good team and they are organized in their attack. We had a very clear game plan and we were able to execute it. We had a few really dangerous opportunities in the first half that we were not able to finish and continued to push forward in second half.

In the 48th minute Brooke Lobban was able to make a penalty shot for us after being fouled in the box. Willow, Brooke and Kyra were able to string together, some really great passing combinations that generated some dangerous offensive opportunities. Adding to that was Maggie, Brophy, Madeline, Cox, and Keiley Hawk.

Our defensive line was able to contain Tennents attack, and clear the ball out of our defense of third. Gracie Costello had another solid game in net for us. She had seven saves in the game. She was reading her angles well. Devin Bush, Molly Meakim, Annalise Messina, and again Madeline Cox maintained their composure throughout the match adding to our success.

At the 68th minute, tenant was awarded a penalty kick that they finished. We knew we had to seal the game in OT. We have been focusing during our practice session on time management and overtime situations. We moved the hall through or midfield, played it back to Devin Bush who chipped the ball onto Willow. Willow finished giving us the hard fought win.
