It was senior night at Upper Moreland, Carly Wasson, Shannon Moore and Jen Storbrauck wanted the best from their teammates tonight and that is exactly what they got.

“It was a 100 minute battle. Neither team was willing to record the loss. It was a incredible game to coach and be a part of, two teams leaving it all on the field for the Love of the game.”

The momentum of the game went back and forth between both teams. Wissahickon had some really good opportunities and our goalie Jen Storbrauck was able to stifle them. When Wissahickon took the lead, we stepped up and within four minutes put in a equalizer off of a set play. Sarah Veneziale put a perfect ball on frame and Kathryn Morrow was there for the finish.

Defensively, Carly Wasson, Emma Meakim and Maddie Gerlach had strong games. Standing out in the back field though, was Chloe Leiter who guarded Alexis Smith. Alexis a dynamic player, she is quick and athletic and when she has an opportunity she uses them. Chloe played tremendously, she mentally knew what her role was tonight and played it perfectly.

I am really proud of my girls tonight. They played with their hearts all 100 minutes and left it all on the field, as a coach, that is all you can ask for.
