William Tennent Comments
We played a solid 15 minutes to start the game and scored a goal in the first 3 minutes. Maddie Hughes played a nice ball up the flank to Bailey Kasner who scored. We had the momentum in the first 15 but Hatboro settled into the game and ended up with the equalizer in the 20th minute off a corner. We went into the half tied and we felt good about how we matched up on the field. In the second half we were taken off our game and made some costly mistakes. Two of Hatboro's goals were off corners and one was from a foul at the 25 yard line. They were able to convert on our mistakes and that was the difference in the game. I was proud of the way we fought until the final whistle and that showed with some chances in the last 10 minutes. I have every confidence that we will take the lessons learned from this game and make adjustments going into our next match.

Hatters go on the road to beat the undefeated William Tennent 4-1. This was a big game for us and the first half was not the best soccer for us. We really struggled everywhere on the field and let up a goal in the first 3 minutes but we were able to tie it up 1-1 with a corner kick goal from Emma Levin at half. We made some changes and knew we had to come out better and that’s what we did in the second half. We applied more pressure to the back line and our offense was able to generate more threats uptop. Our defense played more calm and smarter on and off the ball. Emma Levin dribbled from midfield to about the 18 yard line beating multiple defenders to give a great through ball to Lily Harvey who finished a beautiful shot above the goal keeper. Our third goal came from a foul outside the box that Emma was able to hit the net right below the cross bar. Our 4th and final goal game from a corner kick from Clara Walker where Sarah Roesing crashed the net and was able to head the ball into the right upper 90 to secure a 4-1 win for us. It wasn’t the best game for us but we were able to find ways to win. Hatters will host Upper Moreland on Friday.
