Truman got their leadoff batter Towner on and she immediately stole 2nd to get into scoring position but a line drive snag at 1st base and a smart defensive play on a foul ball that spun back fair before 1st , and a strike out ended the threat.

The Owls were able to however capitalize in the home half of the 1st. Leadoff batter Megan Klein singled then 2 pitches later was at 3rd thanks to a stolen base and a wild pitch. The Owls had 2 runners in scoring position when Ayva Knowles was hit by a pitch and took second on defensive indifference. Klein was able to score on another wild pitch and Maggie Formichelli grounded out to score Knowles.

The Owls threatened again in the second by Truman was able to get 2 runners out at home to prevent any runs.

The big inning for the Owls was the 4th inning where they pushed across 5 runs. Camryn Pickering was able to collect her 2nd hit of the game which was followed up by Mackenzie Kramer’s RBI Triple. Pickering stepped up for the 2nd time this inning and smacked her 3rd hit of the game.

Kramer lead off the 5th inning being hit by a pitch. Keira Seidman stepped to the plate for her first at bat of the game and roped a single to RF.
