Game recap:
MSJ scored an unearned run in the 4th inning to make the game 1-0. It would stay that way until the top of the 7th. UD's Maddie Small drew a 2-out walk and Kate Brannigan hit a 2-out single to make it 1st & 2nd. Jolie Sheppard hit her RBI single to score Small and Brannigan was thrown out on a close call at the plate to end the inning. Garrison pitched her way out of a jam in the bottom of the 7th (with runners on 1st & 3rd) recording 2 strikeouts and an infield pop-up. In the 8th, Garrison reached base on a hard hit error with one out, followed by a walk to Kaitlyn Zacharia. Bella Fiore followed with her 3-run HR to make the score 4-1. In the bottom of the inning, V. Moore lead off with a HR to cut the lead to 4-2, and after the next two batters were retired (K, and flyout to left field), the Mount was able to get the tying run on 1st base (double by J. Schaefer followed by a walk to K. Funk), but the threat would end there on a groundout to second base.
