Wissahickon Comments
Despite a sore shoulder and a blister on her pitching hand; Emma Clayborne went the distance in Wissahickon's 6-4 win over neighborhood rival Upper Dublin. As usual it was a close game down to the last out.Wissahickon jumped out to a 2 run lead on Gracie Franczyk's 2 run double in the first inning.UD came back with 2 in the second inning. Wissahickon scored 3 runs in the third with Luca Penna and Danielle Ciliberto scoring on Emma's double. Emma scored later in the inning running hard on a 2 out error in the outfield. Katelyn Fitzgerald score on another Franczyk double in the top of the 7th. As usual UD made it interesting in the bottom of the 7th scoring 2 runs before Wissahickon recorded the final out.
