CB South's 5 game winning streak came to an end tonight in a hard fought, 5 set loss to Unionville. Despite Ben Grove's incredible, season high, 33 kills and 10 digs and Gavin Roth's season high 45 assists, the Titans were unable to close out the 5th set of a very evenly matched contest. William Nothum added another 10 kills to his fantastic season in the middle, truly proving he is an all league caliber player. He has had the highest hitting percentage on the team for 2 years and has frustrated our opponents all season. Every aspect of his game has improved. Ben and Gavin were our rocks this season but we could not have done it without our middles William Nothum and Brody Cocca. Libero Will Tantum added 13 digs on the evening and Chase Stripling served for a whopping 21 points in the match and some excellent defense.
Side note the CB South JV finished it's season as the number 1 JV in our division with only 2 losses all year. Coach Bill Roth has done an outstanding job with our young players. The program is very lucky to have him.
CB South will play Upper Dublin in the first round of districts on Tuesday night at 7:00pm at Upper Dublin.
