Central Bucks South Comments
CB South hosted Wissahickon tonight in a 5 set affair. The Trojans dropped the first 2 sets (21-25, 22-25) but relentlessly played through and won the next 2 (25-23, 25-22). Both teams refused to let the ball hit the ground. It came down to 5th set that CB South won 15-8. Both teams played hard never giving an inch. CB South's Ben Grove and Wissahickon's Reed Harris led the charge respectively on offense. Ben finished with 26 kills, a string of great serves and some scrappy defense. Junior Gavin Roth had had a huge impact tonight with 33 assists and 10 kills in the contest. Setter Sam Snyder contributed another 23 assists in a fantastic outing. "Sam and Gavin have really turned it up a notch to fill the hole left by injured starter Josh Conley. Josh tore his ACL and is out for the year. He is greatly missed. I think the guys wanted to try to get the win for him tonight" said Coach Schlosser. Brody Cocca was the X factor tonight for the Titans. With some fast, powerful offense and some very much needed and timely blocking Brody put us over the edge to win tonight. As always Will Tantum was a rock for us in the backcourt. Our 3 liberos all show up when you need them. Chase Stribling, Zeke Gift and Will Tantum give it all they've got on defense. A hard fought win tonight against a solid, scrappy, well coached Wissahickon squad.
