Yesterday, Upper Dublin hosted Souderton in a boys volleyball match. Souderton won the match in straight sets (22-25, 21-25, 12-25). The boys for Upper Dublin played a much better match than the past couple and seemed to working together more as a team. The first 2 sets were back and forth and close the entire way, however by the third game we struggled to get any momentum in that game. We struggled with keeping serves in during the first 2 games and missed a total of 13 serves in those 2 sets which helped to sway the momentum towards Souderton and they were able to capitalize on our mistakes.

Stats:

Serving – Senior Dave An led the team with 1 ace and 4 points off serve

Setting – Dave An recorded 25 assists and spread the ball effectively between hitters

Hitting – Senior middle blocker Avery Jackson and outside hitters Jordan Walden (Senior) and Dror Bareket (Junior) all had 6 kills

Blocking – Avery Jackson led the team with 5 blocks and outside hitter Jordan Walden and Opposite Jino Park (Junior) each had 3 blocks

Passing – Senior Libero Jon Lee played consistently and had 7 digs, and Jordan Walden, Dror Bareket and Jino Park also helped the team with consistent passing and timely digs to keep plays alive.
