Council Rock North Comments
Council Rock North defeated Neshaminy Tuesday night 3-0 (25-13; 25-15; 25-23).

Tuesday night was our Senior Night and our team came together and perhaps played the cleanest match of the season. Seniors Sylvia Miller and Emma McNulty led the passing with a pair of 2.3 serve receive score and a 2.3 combined free ball score. This allowed Junior Sarah McCafferty to dish out 37 assists, giving Senior Kaitlyn Liedl 9 kills, Senior Caitlyn Mahle with 3 kills and Senior Elizabeth Butler with 2 kills. The seniors were supported by Sophomore Oliva Szymkiewwicz with 14 kills and Junior Addison Zarillo with 9 kills.

Words cannot describe how proud I am of Sylvia. Sylvia comes to practice every day and works as hard as anyone. Last night it all came together and she played an almost perfect match. Sylvia's play kept the entire bench energized which in turn kept the team on the floor energized. Senior Kaitlyn Liedl was her steady self serving at 95%, a season high for her. Senior Emma McMulty played her, becoming typical, strong game. Senior Caitlyh Mahle moved from her typical right side offense to play middle and Senior Elizabeth Butler handled the duties of right side.

Watching the team play last night reminded me of why I coach. To see a team play, with a totally new line up, and play as one unit, to see the bench cheer them on is the very definition of our One Heartbeat, One Team theme. This match will go down as one of my top 5 best matches.
