PENNRIDGE 5, QUAKERTOWN 0

At about 10 minutes, Peace scored again with Katie Fischer assisting this time.
Then eight minutes before halftime, Jess Supp headed in Dani Meenan’s corner kick for a 3-0 Pennridge advantage.
In the 51st minute, Hirschbuhl got a goal of her own, as Savanna Harrison earned the assist.
With 14 minutes left, Meenan scored with an assist from Mia Bevilacqua.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kaitlyn Moran earned the shutout over Quakertown (2-5-1, 2-4-1 SOL).
In remaining undefeated, Pennridge head coach Audrey Anderson said, the squad has been fortunate to remain mostly healthy and to continue working hard in practice and in game competition.
“This is the hardest-working group of (young players) I’ve ever had,” Anderson said. “Even though we haven’t had as many games as I would like where we were playing two full halves of good soccer, we’ve played hard enough to keep scores where we want them, to keep shots from being taken against us… So I know in my gut that every game, they will work as hard as they can.”

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0
Meghan Kuypers scored the only goal of the contest, unassisted, in the 39th minute, and the host Titans’ defense made the score stand in a shutout victory.
Goalkeeper Sophia Boggs preserved the shutout with seven saves.
Crucial to the win for South (3-3-2, 2-3-2 SOL) was the play of midfielders Jessica Volm and Courtney Taylor. The Titans also got big performances from their defensive unit of Kirsten Taylor, Krysta Reading, Taylor Prezelski and Mackenzie Ehresman.
South head coach Betsy Bullock called this a big win for a young squad starting five sophomores and a freshman.
In beating the well-coached Bucks (7-2-1, 4-2-1 SOL), the Titans finally earned a significant victory as a reward after tying two of the better teams in the SOL Continental, Pennridge (0-0) on Sept. 9 and Central Bucks East (1-1) on Sept. 11.
“This win can build their confidence, so there is tremendous potential with this team,” Bullock said. “I feel this team is young and still needs game experience, and toward the end of the season, this team will be getting stronger and stronger, because these (players) will have that experience under their belts.”
Bullock added that these younger players have made progress, in part, from the seniors, including Kirsten Taylor, Volm and team captain Prezelski.
“Our seniors are extremely capable, confident, very good leaders,” Bullock said. “That really helps too, in that they understand playing together, and they’re helping build the team, they’re not tearing it down.”
How far can the Titans go in the second half?
“I’m not saying we’re going to end up winning it all (the SOL Continental), but I believe if this team jells, it can be competitive with anybody,” Bullock said. "This is a rebuilding year, but I think it’s starting to come together, and that’s what we want.”
