Continental Conference
Hatboro-Horsham 9, Central Bucks West 8
Despite trailing 3-0 after one quarter, the Hatters hung tough, rallying to take a lead heading into the final frame, and even after giving up the lead with a minute to play when the Bucks scored a tying goal, the Hatters came up huge when it mattered most.
Pierre Armstrong took a pass in the crease and found the net just before the buzzer sounded ending regulation to give the Hatters the thrilling last-second win at home.
“It was a rush for the kids,” Hatboro-Horsham coach John Kurek said. “We struggled after the face-off to gain possession after they tied it, but after 40-50 seconds with the ball on the end line, they got it in right before the bell went off and the kids really enjoyed it.”
Armstrong finished with two goals and three assists, while Logan Eldridge added three goals and two assists. Connor McPoyle scored twice, while Chris Hammel and Bryan Remailey each scored once.
“It was a good game and they came to play,” Kurek said. “It was a back and forth game and we made it close after going down.
“The kids kept pushing and they pulled it out and I’m proud of them. Logan Eldridge and Pierre Armstrong really stepped up today. They’re the leaders of our team, and when we were down, they rallied everybody out there to get together after we got flat. We got back and started playing well together and it was a good win and big character win for this team.”

North Penn 12, Pennridge 9
A big third quarter was enough to help North Penn hang on for an impressive road win over Pennridge.

“Our special teams did a really good job tonight,” Smith said. “They got in the shooting lanes and when we went a man down, they made a couple of big game-changers.”
