Check out the results for SOL softball teams in action Tuesday.
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 8, PENNRIDGE 7
The Titans appeared to be on their way to a cakewalk when they opened up an 8-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning.
The Lady Rams had other ideas, plating two runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to make things very interesting. Pennridge put the tying run on board with one out in the seventh, but Maddie Decker coaxed a pair of groundouts out of the next two batters she faced to close out the game.
The Lady Rams held a 14-9 advantage in hits.
“We were happy to escape,” South coach Dan Hayes said. “They hit the ball. Top to bottom of their lineup – they just hit the ball.”
Maddie Decker, who earned the win in the circle, was a perfect 4-for-4 to lead the Titans. She hit a solo home run in the second to give the Titans a 5-1 lead after two innings.
Freshman Mikaela Simons also had a huge day, contributing a two-run double in a four-run first inning, and her three-run homer to deep right center in the fifth gave the Titans an 8-1 lead.
For Pennridge, Brianna Gery had a three-hit day, which included a double and a three-run home run in a four-run sixth inning. Julia Helbling also had three hits, including a two-run home run in the fifth. Liv Campbell, Alyssa Hughes and Lisa Bahmueller each added a pair of hits.
“Pennridge really battled back,” Hayes said. “If they keep swinging the bat like that, they’re going to win quite a few games. They’re going to score some runs.”

Sophomore Bri Battavio delivered an RBI single to put the Maidens on the board, and one out later, freshman Courtney Neil singled and drove home an insurance run.
Bilotti walked the leadoff batter in the bottom of the seventh but retired the next three batters she faced, striking out a pair in the inning to put an exclamation point on the win.

Grace DeRosa tossed an impressive two-hit shutout, fanning seven.
“She pitched another great game,” coach Ron Perlstein said. “She’s pitching strong and seems to be getting stronger.”
The Gianelle sisters provided most of the offense for the Lady Panthers. Freshman Morgan Gianelle was 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored. Her triple in the fifth inning drove in a run, and she crossed the plate on an error.
Madison Gianelle was 2-for-3 with two runs scored as the siblings scored five of their team’s six runs.
Maddie Bear, according to Perlstein, had a big defensive game.
“Maddie played well,” the Lady Panthers’ coach said. “They were hitting everything to center field. She had most of the putouts – she had about eight putouts in center field.”
