Central Bucks East 3, Souderton 0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-16)
The Patriots won a tough match against a tenacious Souderton squad. Leading the Patriots was Henry Mallison (12 kills, five digs). Mason Miller, according to coach Rob Minschwaner, ran a very efficient offense, dishing out 18 assists to go along with a kill and a dig.
Defensively, the Patriots were led by Jared Minschwaner with seven digs, a kill and two aces. Chris Woolslayer, according to his coach, had a very consistent, balanced match, picking up five kills, eight digs, one ace and one-and-a-half blocks. Pierce Budson was a force at the net with five kills and two-and-a-half blocks to go along with one dig.
Central Bucks West 3, Cheltenham 0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-13)
Daniel Klapper (12 kills, eight digs), Will Varner (nine kills, six digs) and Ryan Alu (seven kills, six digs) had big performances at the net for the Bucks. Libero Sam Winderman had 10 digs to lead the defense. Setter Matt Douple had 32 assists and five digs.
North Penn 3, Quakertown 0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-16)
The Knights won all three sets by identical 25-16 scores to earn the sweep, avenging last week’s loss to the Panthers in the semifinals of the Dock Tournament.
Setter Mark Elias had 24 assists and nine digs. At the net, Connor Sloan (seven kills, 10 digs), Jake Walter (10 kills) and Tim Dickinson (eight kills, six digs) led the way. Steven Landes had three aces while Harsh Boghara (three kills, three blocks) and Mannan Patel (six digs) also contributed.
For the Panthers, Dylan Flor had eight kills while Mike Dierolf had five and Lucas Schan, four kills. Coulton Terry had three kills and three blocks. Setter Xavier Villanueva had 20 assists to go along with two blocks, and libero Nick Wesley had nine digs.
Bensalem 3, Abington 1 (25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19)
Paul Bas led the Owls at the net with 11 kills and three blocks. Setter Ronak Patel had 23 assists and five kills. Vic Paskaru (six kills, three aces) and Joey Conley (three aces) served strong for the Owls.
Key performances were turned in from middles Aaron Banks (three kills, five blocks) and Austin Sherel (two kills, three blocks, two aces).
Bensalem improved to 5-9 overall (2-8 SOL).
William Tennent 3, Council Rock South 0 (25-19, 25-13, 27-25)
Setter Kyle Lewicki had 28 assists to go along with three digs and three kills. Logan Sklut led the defense with 11 digs to go along with two aces. Matt Patrick added one block and one dig while Abdul Abdulkareem added two digs and Alex Thibault, one dig. Tom Del Conte led the Panthers at the net with eight kills and two aces.
For the Golden Hawks, Ross Sweed had 12 kills, one block and four digs. Tyler Hondros led the defense with 11 digs, and Robert Reifsteck had three kills, two blocks and one dig.
Council Rock North 3, Neshaminy 0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-21)
Logan Fulgestad (19 assists, two aces, one dig) and Dalton Abrahamsen (six assists, two kills, two blocks, two digs) share setting duties. At the net, Josh Hinton (six kills, four digs, one ace), Nick Reich (five kills, two blocks, one dig, one ace), Jason Yakimiv (five kills, two blocks), Will Stollsteimer (five kills, four aces, six digs) and Will Desautelle (three kills, one block, one dig) all made contributions.
Alex Saraceno had four digs while Sean Helmlinger had one kill and two digs, and Sean Lyon (one kill) and Aaron Knotts (one dig) also contributed.
