ABINGTON 8, HATBORO-HORSHAM 6
Brendan Gallagher had a big night at the plate for the Ghosts, finishing 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. His two-run home run in the sixth put the finishing touches on a big offensive performance.
The Ghosts – who scored early and often – led 6-2 after three innings. They upped that lead to 8-2 after Gallagher’s two-run blast in the sixth and then withstood a seventh-inning comeback attempt by the Hatters, who scored four in the top of the seventh.
Mark Dubree (2-for-3, RBI, one run) and Connor Breslin (2-for-3, RBI, one run) also had big nights at the plate for the Ghosts.
Four Abington pitchers limited the Hatters to just four hits. Nick Conard threw the first two innings, allowing one hit and a pair of runs (one earned). Cole Henrie tossed a pair of shutout innings.
Six players saw action on the mound for the Hatters, who were led by the 2-for-2 effort at the plate of Joe Simmons, who had a triple and RBI.
Abington upped its record to 12-5 overall (8-4 SOL) while Hatboro-Horsham is 11-7 overall (9-3 SOL).

PENNRIDGE 8, NESHAMINY 2
The Rams broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the third and took a 4-0 lead into the fifth when the visiting Redskins plated a pair to make it a 4-2 game. The Rams responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning to regain control.
Nate Coyle was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Jason Souder was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Andrew Horne also was 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored.
Tom Nuneviller – who threw an inning and a third in relief – earned the win on the mound, improving to 2-0 on the season.
Pennridge is 13-4 overall (8-4 SOL), and Neshaminy is 6-11 overall (4-8 SOL).

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 10, CENTRAL 0 (5 innings)
Noel Franczyk allowed just two hits to earn the shutout win in the abbreviated five-inning non-league contest Friday. The Spartans pounded out 10 hits.
Cory Cottone was 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Mike Johnston had a triple and two RBIs while Jackson Pauwels contributed a triple and one RBI.
The Spartans (8-6, 6-6 SOL) scored all the runs Franczyk would need in a two-run first. They added five more in the second and led 9-0 after three innings on their way to the no-doubt-about-it win.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 8, CONWELL EGAN 1
The Titans collected 13 hits off a trio of Conwell Egan hurlers and also benefitted from four errors in Friday's non-league win.
Kyle Rossi led the hit parade with a 3-for-4 effort at the plate that included two RBIs and a run scored. Also coming up big were Chris Farrell (2-for-3, 2 RBIs, one run scored), Daniel McCartin (2-for-4, 2 RBIs, one run), and Alex Bendziowicz (2-for-2, RBI, run scored). Mike Kuypers, who doubled for South's only extra base hit, also had an RBI. Steve Trachtenberg and Danny Klepchick also drove in a run.
Bendziowicz earned the win on the mound, allowing one hit and no runs in four shutout innings. He walked a pair. Tommy Dugan did not allow a hit in an inning of relief but walked a pair and gave up one run (unearned). Zach Dennis threw two scoreless innings to close it out, allowing three hits and fanning two.
The Titans took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first and added a pair in the fourth. They scored three more runs in the fifth to go on top 7-0 before Conwell Egan, which collected just four hits, scored its lone run in the bottom of the fifth.
CB South evened its overall record at 8-8 (5-7 SOL).

NORTH PENN 11, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 0 (5 innings)
The Knights blew open their annual game against neighboring rival LC with a seven-run third. The Crusaders never threatened in a non-league game under the lights at Hostelley Field.
Paul Haynie, Colin Healy and Zach Coll combined for the two-hit shutout in the abbreviated contest. Hayne allowed one hit, walked two and struck out one in two scoreless frames. Healy, who earned the win, gave up one hit in two innings while Coll threw a scoreless inning to close it out.
The Knights collected 11 hits, stroking four of them for extra bases. Mike Christy was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored out of the leadoff spot. Sam Plaugher was 1-for-1 with a double and run scored while Mason Nadeau was 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Alex Peterson (1-for-3), Douglas Apple (1-for-3, run scored), Zach Ziegler (1-for-3, triple, run scored) and Greg Kerr (1-for-1) each drove in a pair of runs. Johnny Posavec had one RBI.
North Penn upped its overall mark to 13-3 (10-2 SOL).

SOUTHERN LEHIGH 4, QUAKERTOWN 3
The Panthers took a 1-0 lead into the fourth inning of Friday’s non-league game, but Southern Lehigh scored one in the fourth and three more in the fifth to go on top 4-1. A two-run fifth for the Panthers made it a one-run game, but they would get no closer.
Quakertown (4-13, 2-10 SOL) managed just four hits – all singles.
