Pennridge picked up its second win in as many days, but it didn’t come easily.
The Rams found themselves on the short end of a 2-0 score after one quarter but rallied to even the score 3-3 by halftime. They went on to outscore the visiting Trojans 5-2 in the second half.
Nick Fanelli had a big game for the Rams on attack, scoring four goals and assisting on another. Adding single goals were Kevin Britner, Logan Lazasz, Ryan Garner and Matt Nevells. Lazasz and Garner each added an assist.
Goalie Tristan Banks was credited with nine saves in a winning effort for the Rams.
Pennridge (2-0) will host Souderton on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., and Wissahickon (0-2) will host Downingtown East on Saturday at noon.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 9, PENNCREST 4
The Bucks capped an impressive opening week with their third win in as many games. They wasted little time before taking control of Thursday’s contest, opening up a 6-0 halftime lead en route to the convincing win.
Joey Rockovich led a balanced West attack with three goals. Erik Ojert had one goal and three assists. Blake Ewaskey and Jake Ojert both had two goals, and Ben Huang had a single goal. Michael Samson had a pair of assists.
Max Dunar turned away 10 shots in a winning effort in goal for the Bucks.
Garrett Hitchens won eight of 16 faceoffs. He also had six ground balls.
Central Bucks West (3-0) will travel to Wissahickon on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest.

NORTH PENN 15, METHACTON 5
The Knights roared out of the starting gate to a 6-0 lead after one quarter. The Warriors never threatened.
Eleven players contributed to the scoring. Andrew Kelly led the Knights with four goals and one assist, and Eric Diamond assisted on five goals. Three players – Danny Payne, Conor Young and Lucas Yannul – had a pair of goals. Contributing one goal were Sam Dardzinski, Matt Dickson, Dakari Luby, Terryn Arnoff and Jack Kim. Dickson also had an assist. Jake Bavuso also had an assist.
Bryon Rimmer (six saves) and Ryan Bausman (four saves) split time in goal for the Knights. RJ Macnamara won 17 faceoffs and Lambert Nguyen won two.
North Penn (2-0) will host Emmaus in a non-league game on Monday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 9, WILSON 4

Finally, a glimpse of spring made an appearance when the CB East Patriots hosted the Wilson Bulldogs on Thursday afternoon. After falling to Wilson last year, the Patriots turned the tables on the Bulldogs this year with an efficient, hard fought 9-4 victory.
The Patriots attack hammered away at Wilson, getting hat tricks from Ryan Stout and Ryan Bullotta. Greg Scholz, Michael Ott and Collin Stein added one goal each. Ott also had three assists while Bullotta, Scholz and Jake Ventresca each had one assist. The offense worked well together, patiently moving the ball to find open spaces for shots.
Michael Ott dominated the face-off once again by winning 13 of 17. He also had 11 ground balls.
Defensemen Drew Bethke, Jake Kueny, Tyler Tracy and John Galow had another standout performance, and were anchored by junior goalie Liam Rosenthal’s eight saves on the day.
Galow also had five ground balls. Evan Bullotta had two while Collin Stein, Ryan Bullotta and Brant Billingsley had one each. Galow also had two caused turnovers. Ryan Stout, Billingsley and Evan Bullotta each had one caused turnover.
The Patriots (2-0) will host Council Rock North at home on Wednesday, April 4, 3:30 pm.

The Golden Bears’ ability to control the draw, according to coach Kim Frantz, was key in Thursday’s tightly-contested win over the Green Raiders.
“Overall, this was a really great game for both teams,” the Golden Bears’ coach said. “Ridley’s goalie had a great game, and their defense was tough.
“We were able to work together for this win and work hard in transition. We were able to come up with 11 draws which really helped us get the win.”
Emma Meakim and Jess Flanagan both had the hat trick to lead the Golden Bears. Meakim also had an assist.
“Emma Meakim had a great game and was solid on attack,” Frantz said.
Bryann Gordon and Meghan O’Donnell both added a pair of goals while Chloe Leiter and Cassidy Hirsch had one goal each. Leiter, O’Donnell, Hirsch and AbbyEllen Wood each chipped in an assist.
UM goalie Cheyanne Grumm had six saves in the win.

UPPER DUBLIN 17, VANDEGRIFT 7
The Flying Cardinals made it a clean sweep, winning their second and final game of their spring break road trip to Texas. This time Vandegrift High School from Austin was the victim in a game played at the Round Rock Sports Complex in Round Rock, Texas.
A highlight of the day – and trip – was the team’s visit to the Magnolia Market at the Silos, created by HGTV’s Chip and Joanna Gaines.
The Cardinals also had a lot of fun at Vandegrift’s expense when game time rolled around, opening up a 12-3 halftime lead and rolling to the lopsided win.
Mack Moore had another huge game with seven goals and three assists. Caroline Wall added four goals and one assist, and Lindsey Schreiber had a hat trick and one assist. Julia Reardon added two goals and two assists. Aly Breslin had a single goal, and Jenn McCarry had two assists.
Becky Browndorf had two goals and three caused turnovers.
Sarah Herchenroder turned away six shots in goal for the Flying Cardinals.
Upper Dublin (2-0) will travel to Haverford for a non-league game on Monday.

SPRING-FORD 15, NORTH PENN 10
The visiting Knights battled the Rams to a 5-5 halftime tie, but the Rams exploded for 10 goals in the second half to earn the win.
“We knew tonight’s game was going to be a challenge for us,” coach Heather Mellow said. “Spring-Ford did a good job of capitalizing on our mistakes.”
Bri O’Donnell led the Knights with four goals and four draw controls. Kristin Varilla had a hat trick while Kelly Macnamara, Heather Shannon and Casey Cavanaugh each added a single goal. Cavanaugh also had three draw controls while Shannon had two. Grace Sacchetti had two assists and four draw controls, and Mikayla Barrow had a team-high five draw controls.
“Bri O’Donnell played a tough game up and down the field tonight,” Mellow said. “And our midfield did a nice job of dominating on draw controls.
“We simply needed to take care of the possession once we got it.”
North Penn goalie Ashley Lambert was credited with seven saves.
North Penn (1-1) will host Easton in a non-league game on Monday at 9 a.m.

The Knights owned Wednesday’s non-league opener from start to finish, opening up a 14-1 lead on their way to the rout.
“It was a good all-around team effort,” coach Heather Mellow said. “
Kelly Macnamara scored six goals and assisted on another to lead the Knights to a romp over Interboro in their season opener. Bri O’Donnell added five goals, one assist and three draw controls, and Heather Shannon also had a big game with four goals, two assists and three draw controls. Grace Sacchetti added two goals, two assists and four draw controls.
Kristin Varilla contributed two goals and one assist. Kellie Pickford and Lily Szilagyi both had one goal, and Emily Crawford both contributed an assist. Mikayla Barrow had six draw controls.
