SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 9, WISSAHICKON 6
The Spartans took a tenuous 3-2 lead into halftime, but the Trojans rallied to knot the score on several occasions in the second half. The Spartans, however, refused to lose, reeling off three straight goals after the Trojans knotted the score at six. Sparked by a standout defensive effort, the Spartans notched the impressive win.
“It was a big win,” Springfield coach Hank Resch said. “Both teams played well."
Sophomore Paul Richardson led the Spartans with four goals, and Wilson Krewson added two goals and one assist. Zach Coppol also had a pair of goals while Justin Smith had one. Contributing one assist each were Brennan Fluehr, Trey DuBose and Dillon Donnelly.
Paul Asman recorded 12 saves in goal in a stellar outing for the Spartans.
Resch credited the efforts of Richardson, Asman and defenseman Brian Maienshein for igniting the Spartans.
"We haven't beaten Wissahickon for a long time," the Spartans' coach said. "To beat Hatboro-Horsham too – they're both big schools where we generally have trouble athletically keeping up with them, so for them to beat teams like that is quite a thing."
Springfield Township (12-5, 5-2 SOL) will travel to Plymouth Whitemarsh on Wednesday, and Wissahickon (5-9, 5-2) will be on the road at Upper Moreland on Wednesday.

UPPER DUBLIN 17, QUAKERTOWN 0
The Flying Cardinals have made winning titles look easy, and they put the finishing touches on their fifth consecutive conference crown Monday, wrapping up a perfect league season with a shutout win.
Jerry Bardol’s eight-point night (five goals, three assists) led the Cardinals. Max Winebrake added two goals and five assists in a seven-point game. Zach Young had a hat trick, and Jed Hanson added two goals and one assist. Adding one goal each were Jason Williams, Colin Asper, Andrew Sowers, Brian McCarry and Jason Scott. Williams, Asper and Bazel Brady each had one assist while Nick Sowers had a pair of assists.
Luke Roselli won 7 of 10 faceoffs, and Justin Heckler won 6 of 11. Dillon Lojeski and Sam Hoffman split time in goal with each collecting three saves.
Nick Sowers had five ground balls and two caused turnovers to lead the defense. Jack DiMartile also had five ground balls. Adding two ground balls each were Brody Balasa, Malik Bootman, Sam Polin, Roselli, Asper, Young and Luke Nin. Balasa and Bootman each had one caused turnover. Matt Sharkey, Williams, Cary Romig, Bardol, Brady and Jake Rossman each added one ground ball. Sharkey, Romig and Williams each were credited with one caused turnover.
Upper Dublin (14-1, 8-0 SOL) will host Springside School in a non-league game on Tuesday at 7 p.m., and Quakertown (5-12, 0-7) will host Abington on Wednesday.

SOUDERTON 6, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3
The Indians earned the win in a defensive battle with the visiting Colonials.
Senior captain Adam Booz reached a milestone when he dished off an assist for his 100th varsity point. Stephen Blue’s four-point night (one goal, three assists) led the Indians. Walker Martin collected a hat trick, and Matt Rauch added a pair of goals.
Goalie Axell Beskar recorded 14 saves for the Indians, who led 4-0 at halftime.
For the Colonials, Brendan Sullivan had a pair of goals. Mike Iannarelli added a goal, and Kenny Diamond had an assist. Griffin Kolkka was credited with nine saves in goal.
Souderton (11-5, 5-2 SOL) will be on the road at Hatboro-Horsham on Wednesday, and Plymouth Whitemarsh (5-9, 3-3) will host Springfield Township on Wednesday.
ABINGTON 7, HATBORO-HORSHAM 6
Will Riemenschneider's hat trick led the Hatters. Andrew McPoyle added a pair of goals and three ground balls. Danny Rusnak contributed one goal to close out the scoring. Eddie Masterson's five ground balls led the defense. Joe Brophy recorded five saves in goal for the Hatters.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 7, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 4
The Patriots clinched sole possession of the SOL National Conference title with Monday’s win over their neighboring rival. They led 2-0 after one quarter but took just a 3-2 lead into halftime and still led by only one (4-3) heading into the final frame.
Ryan Stout led the Patriots with three goals and one assist, and Michael Ott had two goals and an assist. Collin Stein added a goal and an assist, and Ryan Carroll had one goal. Contributing one assist each were Ryan Bullotta and John Galow.
Michael Ott won 14 of 15 faceoffs and also had 10 ground balls in a dominant effort. Liam Rosenthal was credited with five saves in goal for the Patriots.
Galow had five ground balls and Stein four. Stout, Rosenthal, Ty Tracy and Jake Kueny had one ground ball each. Galow had three caused turnovers to lead the Patriots, and Stein had two. Stout, Kueny, Brant Billingsly, Tracy, Jacob Manion and Evan Bullotta each had one caused turnover.
Central Bucks East (14-2, 8-0 SOL) will travel to Council Rock South for its regular season finale Wednesday, and Central Bucks West (12-3, 6-2) will host Neshaminy on Wednesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 12, PENNSBURY 6
The Titans secured a win Monday against the Falcons. Goalie Bobby Sautner stood tall in goal with 14 saves. Dante Poli also dominated with seven goals. Colin Abbonizio had two goals, while Logan Swangler, Austin Novick and Dylan Grosso each had one. Novick helped the scoring with three assists, and Swangler had two. Poli, Abbonizio, and Jake Reilly each had one assist.
Tyler Horvath led the team in ground balls, scooping up eight. Poli and Matt Stoll were close behind with six each. Abbonizio had four ground balls, Dylan McCrory had three, Christian Manibo, Matt McDonald and Joe DeLaurentis each had two, while Swangler, Grosso, Angus Ballantine, Evan Quinn, Joe Maag and Max Montrose all had one. Abbonizio, Manibo and McDonald each had a forced turnover. Horvath went 11 for 12 at X, and Stoll was 5 for 8.
For the Falcons, Ben Abraham had a big night, scoring five goals and assisting on another. Nick Sutton added a goal and an assist, and Cole Ruoff had one assist. Nate Racago, Jesse Keaton and Bryse Raniello each had three ground balls. Tim Davis had 16 saves in a strong outing in goal for the Falcons.
Central Bucks South (10-5, 5-3 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Wednesday, and Pennsbury (8-8, 2-6) will host Harry S Truman on Wednesday.
PENNRIDGE 12, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 5
The Rams opened up a 6-1 halftime lead and never looked back.
Nick Fanelli’s five-goal effort led the Rams. Ryan Garner added two goals and two assists while Logan Lazasz and PJ Matkowski each added a goal and an assist. Contributing one goal each were Kevin Britner, Jack Garner and Dan Hart.
Austin Swartley recorded five saves in goal for the Rams.
Pennridge (11-6, 6-2 SOL) will host Central Bucks South on Wednesday, and Council Rock South (7-7, 3-5) will host Central Bucks East on Wednesday.
