NESHAMINY 4, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0
The Redskins put an exclamation point on their conference crown, shutting out the visiting Golden Hawks and finishing conference play with a perfect 12-0 record.
“Today’s game ended our regular season, and we were able to finish strong – the way we wanted,” coach Jamie Pinto said. “I couldn’t be more proud of this team and the way they have worked together this season, being able to adapt and adjust to some difficult situations both on and off the field and being able to come out on top and doing it together as a team.”
Kayla Connelly set the tone when she scored 17 seconds into the game off the opening hit, using a Peyton Ritchey assist. Three minutes later, Caroline Angerer scored with an assist from Asia Barnard. A goal by Ritchey (Colette Schardt assist) with 7:05 remaining in the opening half sent the Redskins into the intermission with a 3-0 lead. Connelly scored the only goal of the second half with 3:17 remaining, using a Jamie Pennington assist.
“Today’s game was another total team effort, having players stepping up when we needed them to, like senior defender Tori Young,” Pinto said. “We told the girls that our new season is starting now and that we need to keep doing what we have been doing and just keep working together.”
Neshaminy (15-3, 12-0 SOL) – the ninth seed in the District One 3A Tournament – will take on a familiar foe in Monday’s opening round, 24th-seeded Pennsbury. Council Rock South (9-7-2, 9-2-1) is the tournament’s 18th seed. The Golden Hawks travel to 15th-seeded Abington in another all-SOL contest.

SOUDERTON 2, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 0
Goals by Lauren Kenah and Anna Gwiazdzinski sent the visiting Indians into halftime with a 2-0 lead. That score held until the final whistle.
“We had a lot of opportunities in the circle today, but Council Rock North dropped everyone back on defense and did a good job of preventing us from getting many shots off,” coach Sue Casciato said. “They kept our offense off balance most of the game, and we had difficulty connecting on our passes.
“Our back line played another good game and was able to ensure our first-half lead held up.”
Drawing the praise of the Indians’ coach was a back line comprised of Caitlin Lennon, Grace DeThomas and Jess Schmidt.
The Indians held an advantage in shots (7-2) and corners (5-0).
Souderton (15-2, 10-2 SOL) is the eighth seed in the District One 3A Tournament and will have an opening round bye. Council Rock North (10-7-1, 8-3-1) – the 19th seed – will travel to 14th-seeded Methacton for an opening round game on Monday.
