Upper Dublin 18, Pennridge 11
Goals came fast and furious at Helman Field under the lights on Friday.
The visiting Cardinals split their tally evenly on each side of halftime. Aditi Foster had a big game and played a part in half of UD’s goals, scoring eight and assisting another.
“It was a very fast paced game the whole way,” UD coach Dee Cross said. “Pennridge went to goal hard
“(Goalie) Riley Brady had some point blank saves and our defense stayed calm and figured it out. Pennridge is fast and made us work for everything.”
Jenn McCarry had four goals and two helpers for UD, which saw five different players score.
“Jenn McCarry once again led the team on the field. She scored, had five draw controls and set up the offense,” Cross said. “She never stops moving and looks for ways to make the team better.”
Tess Reardon had a hat trick plus an assist while Kelly Senior scored two and assisted two others and Ella Lyon tallied a goal and two helpers. Ally Gay had an assist and three draw controls for the Cardinals. Reardon also won five draws.
Pennridge, which trailed 9-5 at the half, was led by Amelia Loughery’s four goals and four assists. Maddie Edinger had two goals and an assist for the Rams, who also got goals from Grace Roscia, Aubrey Maher, Natalie Yilanjian and Mackenzie Herbst. Maher added two assists and Herbst added a helper. Kate Unzicker and Kendall Posey both had on assist.
Roscia had seven draw controls for Pennridge. Brenna Craig made 15 saves in goal for the Rams.
Upper Dublin (2-3, 1-0 SOL) will host Lower Moreland on Monday, and Pennridge (2-2, 1-0) will host Central Bucks South on Monday.

Pennsbury 16 Springfield Township 4
Looking to avoid a repeat of Wednesday’s tightly contested loss to Central Bucks South, the Falcons came out with the right energy on Friday.
“Today was a full team effort,” Pennsbury coach Shannon MacPherson said. “We came off a tough loss from Wednesday and the girls had a fire in them to get the win today. Our attack worked together to get the job done with beautiful assists and shots on goal.”
Pennsbury put the pressure on early and despite some stout resistance from the Spartans, put away 10 goals in the first half. Darrien Furiness paced the Falcons with four goals while Lexie Snyder and Maggie Golder each scored a hat trick.
“Springfield had a very talented goalie and she did a nice job,” MacPherson said. “Midfielders Maggie Golder, Maddy Spratt and Darrien Furiness did a great job on draw controls which really set us up for the win.”
Sarah Walcott and Olivia Walcott each scored two goals and Maddy Spratt added a pair of goals.
In goal, Ella Galdati turned away eight of 12 shots she faced.
“Defensively we worked as a unit and caused turnovers,” MacPherson said. “Our goalie Ella Galati came up huge today on saves, she had a great game. It was exciting to see the girls play a solid game together today.”
Pennsbury will host Central Bucks East on Monday (4:45 p.m.), and Springfield Township (1-1) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Monday.

Souderton 14, Council Rock North 5
Souderton erupted in the second half to pick up a big win on Friday, outscoring the visiting Indians 9-3 after the intermission.
While the offense put up plenty of goals, Souderton coach Claudia LaMarca felt her team’s defense was the difference-maker.
“Huge defensive effort all around for SAHS,” LaMarca said. “Big saves from the goalies and lots of hustle in the ride.”
Caroline Kelly and Lauren Kenah tied for the team lead with four goals each for Souderton. Reiley Knize had two goals, Avery Farina scored one and assisted another while Ang Borisow and Clark Trowridge each put in a goal.
Souderton (4-0, 2-0 SOL) will host Bensalem on Wednesday, and Council Rock North (1-2, 0-2) will travel to Neshaminy on Monday.

Defense was the difference for the Knights on Friday.
After building an 8-5 lead at halftime, North Penn allowed just one goal in the second half while building on its advantage.
Coach Heather Mellow called it a group effort.
“Our defense did a great job today – they really stepped up and worked well together,” Mellow said. “Emily Varilla did a nice job marking Max Leszczynski and holding her to only one goal. Kiera Holt came up with some big saves when we needed them.”
Jordan Bailey’s hat trick led the scoring for North Penn, which also got two goals each from Varilla, Ali Lindsay and Lily Szilagyi. The Knights also received goals from Riley O’Donnell, Danielle Preston and Kayla Stressman.
Brianna Austin was the only multi-goal scorer for the Colonials with two markers. Fiona Gooneratne, Raya Gauntlett, Lauren Ianello and Leszczynski each scored once.
Clancy Lynch made 13 saves in goal for PW.
“North Penn was the better team today,” Colonials coach Ellen Reilly said. “PW was in the game but turned the ball over in possession which led to NP goals.”
North Penn (2-1, 1-0 SOL) will host Central Bucks West Monday, and Plymouth Whtiemarsh (1-3, 1-0) will be on the road at Springfield Township on Monday.

Wissahickon 15, Council Rock South 10
The Trojans continued their unbeaten start but the Golden Hawks made it difficult on them, knotting the game at 10-10 only to see the Trojans reel off five unanswered goals to close out the game.
Emma Baxter was a force for the Trojans, scoring seven goals and assisting on another. She also was credited with 10 draw controls as well as one ground ball and one caused turnover. Sophia Chiodo Ortiz had three goals, one assist and one draw control while Abby DeGroat had two goals, two interceptions and five draw controls. Chloe Lee added a pair of goals.
Also for the Trojans, Lexi Hobson had one goal, two assists, two caused turnovers, four ground balls and two draw controls.
“Alena Doll had an excellent game on the defensive end with three caused turnovers and three ground balls,” Wissahickon coach Jamie Kane said.
Wissahickon controlled the draw, winning 16 draw controls to just five for CR South, but the Hawks defense led by goalie Sophia Kutsaya’s 11 saves and four caused turnovers helped keep things close.
“It was our defense and caused turnovers that kept us tight with them,” Hawks coach Madison Hurwitz said.
Carley Irvin paced the Golden Hawks with four goals and an assist, while Rianna Shields was close behind with three scores and two helpers. Cailey Hiscox scored a pair of goals, Zoe Brossman had a goal and assist and Ella Fade tallied an assist.
Madeline Murphy had five saves in goal for Wissahickon and one ground ball.
Wissahickon (4-0) will host Abington on Wednesday, and Council Rock South (2-1, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Bensalem on Monday.

New Hope-Solebury 15, Villa Joseph Marie 10
The Lions offense clicked on both sides of halftime in a high-scoring game on Friday.
Margaret Tresler, Madie Thistlewaite, Kate Dougherty and Lilly Smith all scored hat tricks for New Hope-Solebury, which took an 8-5 lead to the half. Dougherty and Thistlewaite also had two assists apiece.
Rachel Saxton and Meara Chick both tallied a goal. Rylie Hepp scored a goal and was productive elsewhere setting up three other scores.
New Hope-Solebury (2-2, 0-1 SOL) will host Springfield Township on Wednesday.

Lower Moreland 12, Bensalem 7
Multiple scorers on offense and solid goaltending helped the Lions pick up their first win of the spring.
“It was a great team effort by Lower Moreland with four different goal scorers and 11 saves by keeper Emily Fee,” Lions coach Jess Ashenbrenner said. “Our defense, led by Maggie McGarry and Rachel Felix, played very aggressively.”
Paige Malpezzi matched the Owls’ total by herself, scoring seven goals to lead Lower Moreland. Kyle Tammaro and Sarah Rosala each scored twice and Ofek Gur netted a goal for the Lions.
Lower Moreland (1-2, 0-1 SOL) will travel to Upper Dublin on Monday, and Bensalem (1-3) will host Council Rock South on Monday.
Central Bucks East 6, Jenkintown 4
Six players scored for the Patriots in Friday’s non-league win with Morgan Tait, Sammy Kishel, Morgan Eater, Courtney Mackenzie, Paige Keller and Courtney Curry each connecting on one goal. Keller also had an assist and won three draws while Eater won one draw.
The Patriots had six caused turnovers, which included a pair of interceptions by Mackenzie and one each by Keller, Rylee Surovec and Sophia Buesing. East also had eight ground balls.
Senior goalie Fiona Henderson had 10 saves to anchor a standout defensive effort by the Patriots.
Central Bucks East (2-2, 0-1 SOL) will travel to Pennsbury on Monday for a 4:45 p.m. contest.
