Central Bucks South 15, Council Rock North 10
It all began, quite literally, with Chris Moore.
The Central Bucks South middie won a remarkable 20 of 21 faceoffs as the Titans jumped out to an early lead and downed Council Rock North 15-10 in a battle of two of the top teams in the National Conference.
Moore added 1 goal, 1 assist, and 9 ground ball pickups on the day.
“Chris Moore played amazing for us, and our offense was on fire early against a really good team in Council Rock North,” said South coach Mike Strayline. “We played four quarters of tough lacrosse tonight and control our fate moving forward. It was a complete team effort.”
The Titans also received contributions from Cole Cenci (3G, 2A, 1GB), John Fitts and Nick Fareno (3G each), Evan Jacobsen and Logan Dunn (2G each), Reese Levinson (1G), and Liam Brittin and Ryan Gordon (1A each).
Gavin Ostroff made 8 saves to record the victory in the cage for the Titans, who move to 7-2 in National Conference play, 9-3 overall. South returns to action at 5:30 pm Monday for a game at Springfield Township. North falls to 7-2, 12-2 and will host Central Bucks East at 3:30 pm Tuesday.

Central Bucks East jumped out to an 8-2 halftime lead, but a big fourth quarter from Council Rock South made for some nail-biting moments down the stretch. But the Patriots stood tall at the end, remaining undefeated in National Conference play with a 10-8 victory over the Golden Hawks on Friday.
Nicholas Knepp paced East with 3 goals, 1 assist, 1 ground ball, and 1 caused turnover. The Patriots also received offensive contributions from Jonah Osborne (2G, 1A), Joey Stella (1G, 2A), Nils Updale (1G, 1A, 1GB), Evan Bullotta (1G, 5GB, 1 caused turnover), Adrien Widdows and Chris Funston (1G each), and Michael Skulsky (2A, 1CTO).
The Patriots also received solid efforts from Quinn Collins (2GB, 1CTO), Ryan McCauley (2GB), Ethan Greenlee and Mark Lapioli (1GB, 2CTO each), and Luke Christmas and Dean Blackwell (1GB each).
East remains atop the National Conference at 9-0 (10-3 overall). The Patriots visit Downingtown East at 11 am today for a nonleague matchup, then host Lower Merion at 3:30 pm Monday. Council Rock South drops to 2-8, 3-12. The Golden Hawks will visit Hatboro-Horsham for a nonleague matchup at 7 pm Monday.

Pennsbury 15, Pennridge 4
Five-point efforts from Jack Kalinowski (4 goals, 1 assist) and Will Taylor (2G, 3A) powered Pennsbury to a 15-4 victory over Pennridge on Friday to maintain a three-way tie for second place in the National Conference.
After a 2-2 first period, the Falcons outscored Pennridge 13-2 the rest of the way to roll to the victory.
“The first quarter was back and forth with both teams holding each other in check defensively,” said Pennsbury coach Dean Curtis. “When our long stick midfielder Pat Kirk got his second goal of the game early in the second quarter it gave us a spark.”
Kirk finished with 2 goals for the game. Avery Dysart posted 3 goals and 1 assist, Shane Siegmund dished out 3 assists, Kyle Rinehimer scored twice, Kolby Ranniello had 1 goal, Reece Millman had 1 goal as well as 6 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers, Troy Haynes recorded 3 turnovers, and Ryan DeZutel went 13-for-22 on faceoffs and scooped up 6 ground balls. Nico Cione made 10 saves to record the win for Pennsbury who improve to 7-2 in the National Conference (11-3 overall), and remain tied with Central Bucks South and Council Rock North in second place in the conference with 21 points.
“We know how successful Pennridge has been in transition so we focused on getting back and defending,” Curtis said. “Our middies really played a great game today. We’ve been talking a lot in practice this week about depth of scoring and the guys responded well, sharing the ball and getting everyone involved.”
It proved to be a fitting sendoff for the Pennsbury senior class, playing in their final home game of their high school careers.
“It was a great day for our seniors on their final regular season home game,” Curtis said.
Pennridge received 1 goal each from Chris Fanelli, Frankie Fanelli, Ryan Carickhoff, and Tom Hart. Jake Stranix had 2 assists and Jack Lenox had 1 assist.
Kieran Banks made 15 saves for the Rams, who fall to 5-5, 7-8. The Rams host Abington at 7 pm Monday. Pennsbury will visit Bishop Shanahan at 10 am Saturday before closing out the league slate at 3:30 pm Monday at North Penn.

Neshaminy 15, Harry S Truman 3
Liam Ames scored 4 goals and Lucas Maher and Patrick Courtney each chipped in with 1 goal and 3 assists as Neshaminy made quick work of Harry S Truman in Friday’s National Conference game. Neshaminy led 11-0 at halftime.
Ethan Roscoe recorded a hat trick for Neshaminy. Jack McVey had 2 goals and 1 assist while Ethan Roney, Shyke Dogiani, Colin Demi, and Cory Hemberger each fired in solo goals. Timmy Ansel and Bobby Blum each registered 1 assist.
Neshaminy improves to 2-10 in National Conference play, 4-14 overall, and will return to action for a 7 pm Wednesday game at Hatboro-Horsham. Truman drops to 0-9, 1-12, and will visit Council Rock South at 6 pm Monday.

American Conference
Upper Moreland 11, Springfield Township 8
Upper Moreland goalkeeper Matt Ludlow pulled off a rare feat in Friday’s American Conference matchup against Springfield Township – he played a crucial role in both the offense and the defense.
Ludlow turned aside 12 Springfield shots and recorded an assist as the Golden Bears edged Springfield 11-8.
Also contributing to the Upper Moreland offense were Ryan Olexa (3G, 2A), Joe Marczak and Joseph Messina (2G, 1A each), Owen Dunlevy (1G, 2A), Logan Taylor and Ryan Veneziale (1G, 1A each), and Colin Hogan (1G).
The Golden Bears led 2-0 after one quarter but took just a 4-3 advantage into halftime. A 4-1 third quarter sent them into the fourth period with an 8-4 lead.
For the Spartans, Cameron Dennis (3G, 2A, 2GB) and Trey DuBose (3G, 5GB) led the way. Luke Gozzard added a goal and an assist while Alex Vecchione had one goal. Brennan Donnelly and Gabe Fluehr each had three ground balls. Spartan goalie Patrick McMahon had six saves.
Upper Moreland moves to 6-2 in the American Conference (11-4 overall) and finds itself in a three-way tie with Hatboro-Horsham and Upper Dublin with 18 points for second place in the conference. The Bears will host Plymouth Whitemarsh at 3:30 pm Monday. Springfield falls to 4-4, 4-7 and will host nonleague opponent Central Bucks South at 5:30 pm Monday.

Souderton 11, North Penn 3
The Indians celebrated Teacher Appreciation night with an impressive win over their crosstown rival.
“Seniors showed their favorite teachers what they were all about on the field,” coach Mark Cornes.
Senior Kobi Bui’s 4-goal effort led the Indians while senior Justin Wawrzynek added 3 goals and 1 assist.
Junior Jamison McDivitt had 3 goals and 2 assists, Ty Quintos added a goal, Tyson Bui had 3 assists and Seth Grossman had an assist.
Senior Luke Wawrzynek dominated the faceoff X, winning 13 of 17 faceoffs.
Souderton (11-5, 5-5 SOL) will host Lansdale Catholic in a non-league contest Monday (6:30 p.m.), and North Penn (7-8, 4-5) will host Pennsbury on Monday at 7 p.m.

The Ghosts edged the Hatters in a classic conference battle.
For the Hatters, Alex Cerminara contributed 3 points and Brendan Kirn made 10 saves, but it was not enough. Cerminara finished with 2 goals and 1 assist. Sam Fink chipped in with 2 goals, and Justin Focht scored once. Jaden Mariano and Dom Tarsi each dished out 1 assist. Dylan Fesmire finished with 3 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers, and was 1-for-1 on faceoffs. David Benjamin won 11 of his 14 faceoffs.
Abington moves to 4-4 in American Conference play, 4-9 overall, and will visit Pennridge for a 7 pm Monday game. The Hatters fall to 6-4, 6-9. They will host Council Rock South at 7 pm Monday for Senior Night festivities.
