Quakertown fell to Haverford in Wednesday’s District One 6A playback game to determine the third and fourth seeds for the upcoming state tournament.

The Fords opened up an 8-0 lead after three innings on their way to the convincing win in Wednesday’s playback game for state seeding. Both teams collected eight hits, but the Panthers were guilty of five miscues.
The Panthers got on the board in the sixth, plating a pair of runs when Skyler Williams lined a triple to right field. Earlier in the inning, Ava Beal and Mary Wilkinson singled.
In the seventh, the Panthers benefitted from an error, singles by Williams and Katie Muller and a bases-loaded walk to Cadence Lewis (RBI).
Williams had a big day at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Beal and Muller were both 2-for-4.
Abbey Wagner earned the starting nod and threw 2.1 innings, allowing three hits and eight runs while walking six. Syd Andrews threw the final 3.2 innings and allowed five hits and three runs (all unearned) while striking out four and walking none.
Quakertown (19-5, 13-2 SOL) will face the District 12 champion in Monday’s opening round of the PIAA 6A Tournament.
