Check out the recaps for SOL baseball teams in action Wednesday.
SOL Colonial Division
Central Bucks West 3, Central Bucks East 2
Riding the strong outing of Stephen Verdolini on the mound, the Bucks won for the second time in as many outings against their neighboring rival. They will look to make it a sweep of the three-game series at East on Thursday.
Verdolini allowed just four hits and two runs – only one earned – in the complete game win. He struck out eight and did not walk a batter.
Runs were hard to come by for both sides, and a two-run double by Ernie Sanchez in the first inning gave the Bucks a lead they would not lose. East made it a 2-1 game in the top of the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Nolan Behm, but the Bucks tacked on an insurance run in the bottom of the inning.
By the numbers: Central Bucks West: Ernie Sanchez (1-for-3, 2B, 2RBIs), Michael Koldhoff (1-for-3, 2B), Alex Valdes (2B), Jack Hogenauer (2B)
Stephen Verdolini (W) (7.0 IP, 4H, 2R, 1ER, 0BB, 8K)
Central Bucks East: Sean Hill Jr (2-for-3, 1R)
Key innings: Bottom of first: With one out, Connor Grzywacz and Hogenauer drew back-to-back walks, and both scored when Sanchez lined a double to right field to give West an early 2-0 lead.
Bottom of sixth: With one out, Hill lined a single to right, stole second and moved up to third on a groundout. He scored on an East miscue, a run that put the Bucks on top 3-1..
Up next: Central Bucks West (9-6, 5-7 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks East (6-9, 3-8) Thursday for game three of its three-game series.

ROMAN CATHOLIC 5, HARRY S TRUMAN 1
The Tigers celebrated Senior Night at Trenton Thunder Ballpark. Although the outcome wasn’t what they’d hope, it was a special night.
The Tigers got on the scoreboard first with a run in the bottom of the second. Louis Fantini drew a leadoff walk, Steven Palmer followed with a single, and Fantini scored when Angel Escobar singled. That would be the beginning and end of the scoring for the Tigers, who managed just four hits the rest of the way.
Four Tigers saw action on the mound. Nate Gibson threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings, and Josh Wright closed it out with a scoreless seventh.
Up next: Harry S Truman (2-13, 0-11 SOL) will travel to Council Rock North for the third game of its three-game series Thursday.
