There wasn’t a whole lot of hitting for either side in this one.
Syd Kandravi had the big hit in Pennsbury’s four-run first – a two-run double. The Falcons led 6-1 after two innings, and after Truman trimmed that lead to one, the Falcons scored two in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Paige Fidishun notched her third win of the young season with the complete game win.

Brandi Groarke retired all nine batters she faced in three perfect innings in the circle. She fanned seven of nine batters and did not walk a batter.
Also for the Knights, Sophia Hofmann had a huge day at the plate, delivering a double, home run and five RBIs. Her two-run double highlighted a five-run first that also included an RBI double by Gabby Battavio.

UPPER DUBLIN 8, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 4
The Cardinals won a back-and-forth battle in Friday’s non-league crossover game.
The Lions took a 1-0 lead in the first when Dagny Mobley delivered an RBI single that plated Kaylee Harris, who had walked.
UD answered with four runs in the third inning. Alex Malitas, who led off the inning with a triple to right field, scored on an RBI single by Maddie Small. Ava Renye reached base on a hard-hit ball that scored Small, and Kyla Garrison’s RBI single plated Renye. Jolie Sheppard, Garrison’s courtesy runner, scored on an RBI single by Paige McKenna that put the Cardinals on top 4-1.
New Hope-Solebury made it a 4-2 game with a run in the bottom of the fourth when Vicki Rutkowski delivered an RBI double that plated Rachel Kim, who legged out a bunt single.
Upper Dublin seized control of the game with four more runs in the sixth to go on top 8-2. Malitas led off the inning with a double to center and scored on another single by Small. Courtesy runner Helena Stanley later scored on a two-run single by Sophia Vitella to make it 8-2.
The Lions put a pair of runs on the board in the sixth when Juliet Freer delivered an RBI double that scored Riley Sim, who had singled. Freer later scored on a passed ball for the 8-4 final.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 9, VILLA JOSEPH MARIE 3
The Patriots took an early 1-0 lead when Sydney Hahn ripped a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the second inning.
That 1-0 lead stood until the fourth when the Patriots erupted for three more runs. Highlights included a double by Carly Franklin as well as singles by Hailey Helmstetter, Hahn (RBI), Sarah Zmuda and Lyla Becker (RBI).
East’s lead grew 6-0 after a two-run fifth inning that included an RBI single by Hahn and a sacrifice fly by Franklin.
Hahn’s 3-for-3 effort at the plate led the Patriots and included a home run, three RBIs and a run scored.
Ashlyn Helmstetter was one of three East pitchers to see action, and she earned the win, tossing four scoreless innings of one-hit ball for the Patriots.

“We were able to pick up a win tonight against Villa Joseph Marie. Very proud of the girls responding back after yesterday’s lost to CB South. We had great pitching from Ashlyn Helmstetter and Sarah Zmuda. Each pitcher allowed only one hit. Our hitters got back at it with Sydney Hahn going 3-for-3 with a home run. Also getting two hits were Olivia Owtscharuk and Carly Franklin, including a double. Grace Michvech also had a double for us.”
