#2 NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 3, #3 RENAISSANCE ACADEMY 0
The Lady Lions entered the playoffs on a high note after defeating William Tennent last Thursday in a thrilling five set
match to win the SOL Freedom Division with an undefeated league record at 8-0, garnering the Lady Lions’ first league title in seven years. This was their second five set contest with the Panthers this season as these two teams have battled very evenly for years now. We were all very proud of how our kids handled a loud raucous environment to outlast the Panthers.
In Wednesday’s semifinal match versus Renaissance Academy, the Lady Lions received valuable contributions from 14 different players and were led by their four Seniors, Grace Harm, Gabby McCagg, Nora Redfield, and Val Segler as they swept Renaissance 3-0.
Up next: The victory sets up a rematch with Faith Christian Academy in next Wednesday’s district championship match at Dock Mennonite. The first meeting of these two teams back in early September was another thrilling five-set contest, so the Lady Lions are looking forward to another chance to match up against one of the premier programs in the area.
