Owen Petrich – University of Delaware (Baseball)

Major:  Undecided

Final list of colleges:  Delaware, St. Joseph’s, La Salle, Penn State

Reasons for choosing Delaware:  “I know it’s a good school. My brother goes there right now, and I’m familiar with it. On my visits, I felt like it would be a good fit for me both academically and athletically.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level?  “I’ve always wanted to play baseball as long as I could. When I started playing summer baseball and started getting better and realizing I could play in college, that’s really what made me want to keep going.”

Coach Kevin Bray says:  “Owen is super athletic. He does a great job preparation-wise of getting himself ready before the season and in the season as well. We were really pleased with his defensive and offensive production this year. He’s a great kid on and off the field. He was a leader for us, and we’re really excited for the next athletic and academic phase of his life.”
