BASEBALL
Bloomsburg’s Keith Meyer (Council Rock South) was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 8. Meyer led the Huskies to a 4-2 week including a 3-1 mark in PSAC East play. In six games, he went 11-for-25 for a .440 average while driving in 10 of his season’s 17 RBIs. His slugging percentage of .560 along with a .481 on-base percentage gave him an OPS of 1.041 for the week. Last week he recorded four multi-hit games along with three multi-RBI games. In the series against Clarion, Meyer went 6-for-9, scoring three runs and brought home another five. His 17 RBIs this season puts him three shy of his career best which was set last season. Bloomsburg earned a share of the number 10 regional ranking according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II poll.

Leftfielder Ken McCormick (Pennsbury) went 3-for-4 and opened the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning of Philadelphia University’s 9-7 loss to Felician. In Wednesday’s 8-0 win over Dominican, McCormick, who collected three hits, hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning. It was his first career home run.

Sophomore Keith Moyer (Souderton) pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief in East Stroudsburg’s 8-7 win over Millersville on Saturday. In Monday’s 15-7 win at Nyack, redshirt freshman Jayson Rathjens (Quakertown) delivered a two-run single.

Freshman Craig Lepre (North Penn) doubled home a pair of runs in Albany's 7-6 win over Stonybrook on Sunday.

Matt Albaugh (North Penn) was 1-for-2 with two RBIs in Kutztown’s 7-6 win over East Stroudsburg on Saturday. In Friday’s 5-4 loss to East Stroudsburg, Albaugh tripled and scored a run. In Thursday’s 9-1 win over Penn State Berks, Albaugh contributed a single and scored a run. Brandon Martinez (North Penn) hit a sacrifice fly. In Tuesday’s 5-4 win over Wilmington, Albaugh doubled, scored a run and drove in a run.

Ryan Henritzy (Council Rock North) was 1-for-3 with a game high two RBIs in Lock Haven’s 5-1 win over California (Pa.) in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday. In Lock Haven’s 4-1 win over California (Pa.) on Friday, Henritzy was 1-for-2 with a double. In Tuesday’s 10-8 come-from-behind win over Shippensburg, Henritzy contributed a three-run triple, highlighting an eight-run rally with two outs in the eighth inning. Henritzy went 2-for-4 on the day with a game high three RBIs.

Sophomore Greg Welsh (Council Rock South) picked up his first save of the season in Penn State’s 6-4 win over Michigan on Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore John Burns (Neshaminy) reached base safely in all five at-bats, going 2-for-2 with three walks and scoring three runs in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 9-2 win over Immaculata on Friday. Freshman Ryan Downs (Council Rock South) contributed a two-run, two-out double in the fourth inning. In Gwynedd’s 7-6 win over Rutgers-Camden, Burns delivered a two-out RBI single in the sixth inning. In Gwynedd’s 21-2 win over Centenary, Downs had four hits.

Dylan Tice (Pennridge) contributed a home run and two RBIs in IUP’s 5-4 win over Millersville in game one of a twinbill on Sunday. Robbie Zinsmeister (North Penn) also contributed a hit. Chris Edgar (North Penn) was 2-for-4 with a run scored for Millersville. In IUP’s 5-4 win in game two, Tice was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Edgar had a hit and run scored for Millersville. In IUP’s 7-2 loss to Clarion in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday, both Zinsmeister and Tice had a hit and scored a run. In IUP’s 8-6 loss to Clarion in game two, Jared Weed (Council Rock North) threw two no-hit scoreless innings in relief, fanning a pair. In IUP’s 3-2 win over Clarion in game one of a twinbill on Friday, Tice was 2-for-3 with one run scored. In IUP’s 6-5 win in game two, Zinsmeister had one hit and scored two runs. Tice also had one hit and two runs scored.

David Pine (Council Rock North) was 2-for-5 with a double and three runs scored in Millersville’s 12-6 win over No. 5 West Chester in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday. Edgar was 1-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. In Millersville’s 3-2 win in game two, Edgar delivered a solo home run in the second inning. In Friday’s 3-2 win over West Chester, Pine tripled in the tying run and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Ryan Pater (Central Bucks East) was 1-for-2 with two runs scored in St. Joseph’s 11-5 win over Massachusetts on Saturday. In Friday’s 6-0 win over UMass, Pater contributed an RBI double and scored a run. In St. Joe’s 7-2 win over Delaware on Wednesday, Pater had two hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Ray Puskar (Pennridge) and Joe Mullin (Central Bucks South) both contributed a pair of hits while teammate Joe Crane (Council Rock South) knocked in two runs and collected a hit in Sunday’s 8-7 loss to Nyack. In Thursday’s twinbill against Concordia College (NY), Alex Latchum (Central Bucks South) recorded three hits. In Wednesday’s 14-6 win over the University of the Sciences, Latchum had two hits and scored three runs. Crane delivered a sacrifice fly and RBI single.

Senior Ryan Brown (Souderton) had four hits and three RBIs in Messiah College’s doubleheader sweep of Widener on Saturday (8-2, 10-6). In Tuesday’s 4-2 win over York College, Brown contributed an RBI single. In Monday’s 6-3 win over fourth-ranked Salisbury, Brown was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and one run scored.

Junior Michael Corrigan (William Tennent) contributed an RBI single in Penn State Abington’s 4-2 win over SUNY IT in game one of a twinbill on Saturday. In Friday’s 13-12 win over John Jay College, Will Erskine (North Penn) contributed an RBI when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Dan Seitzinger (Central Bucks West) was 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and one run scored while teammate Matt Hanson (Central Bucks West) was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and one run scored in Moravian’s 8-7 win over the University of Scranton in game two of a twinbill on Saturday. In Moravian’s 11-2 win in game one, Seitzinger also had a pair of hits. In Wednesday’s 12-5 win over Penn State Berks, Seitzinger was 1-for-3 with three runs scored. In Tuesday’s 9-1 win over Albright, Hanson was 3-for-5 with a run scored while Seitzinger contributed an RBI double.

Nick Schnittjer (Pennridge) was 1-for-3 in Philadelphia Biblical’s 26-4 loss to Keystone College on Friday. In Philadelphia Biblical’s 9-2 loss to Immaculata on Tuesday, junior Jeremy McAlack (Council Rock North) contributed a triple. Schnittjer added an RBI single. Dean Diernbach (Central Bucks West) absorbed the loss on the mound.

Junior Matt Hone (Council Rock North) contributed an RBI double in Widener’s 4-2 loss to Widener on Friday.

Freshman Mike McLeod (Harry S Truman) pitched a scoreless 1.2 innings in La Salle’s 2-0 loss to San Diego in game two of a doubleheader on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 11-4 win over Penn, McLeod earned the win on the mound, throwing 1.2 innings without allowing an earned run.

Drew Frankenfield (Wissahickon) had a pair of hits and scored two runs in York College’s 5-0 win over Mary Washington on Saturday.

Freshman second baseman Billy Fleming (Council Rock South) had a pair of hits in West Virginia’s 8-4 loss to Rutgers on Saturday.

Mike Bradstreet (North Penn) earned his seventh save by pitching a scoreless ninth inning in Rhode Island’s 8-6 win at Quinnipiac on Tuesday. In Monday’s 1-0 win over George Washington, Bradstreet collected an inning-ending doubleplay in the ninth to earn his second win of the season.

Pete O’Hara (Council Rock North) and Mike Ferrier (Pennridge) both collected a pair of hits in Delaware Valley’s 8-6 win over Manhattanville College in game one of a twinbill on Saturday. Ferrier scored a run and contributed an RBI double while O’Hara scored a run and contributed one RBI. In Del Val’s 9-5 win in game two, Ferrier was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. In Friday’s 7-1 loss to Manhattanville, O’Hara was 3-for-5.  In Thursday’s 13-1 win over Valley Forge Christian College, O’Hara was 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI while teammate Brandon Bell (Norristown) came off the bench to go 2-for-3. In Monday’s 8-7 loss to Eastern University in game one of a twinbill, O’Hara had two hits and scored three runs. In Del Val’s 8-7 loss in the nightcap, Ferrier singled, stole third and later scored in the eighth inning, but Eastern won it in the bottom of the inning.

Jordan Hofferman (Cheltenham) earned the win on the mound in Arcadia’s 12-1 win over St. Joseph’s (NY) on Friday, scattering 10 hits, a walk and four strikeouts. Hofferman sports a team best 2.72 earned run average. He sealed the win in the top of the ninth with two strikeouts after the Bears put two runners on board. In Saturday’s 12-8 win over John Jay College in game two of a twinbill, Tyler Guentter (North Penn) tossed a scoreless inning in relief.

MEN’S LACROSSE
Sophomore Shawn Caven (Pennsbury) had five ground balls and was 9-for-14 on faceoffs in Ursinus College’s 6-5 loss to McDaniel on Saturday.

Junior Heath Kupecky (Upper Merion) contributed two goals and was credited with four ground balls in Messiah College’s 10-8 loss to Elizabethtown.

Senior Ben Brown (Hatboro-Horsham) had a pair of goals in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 28-3 win over Rosemont on Saturday.

Senior Johnny Casey (Abington) scored a pair of goals in Widener’s 15-0 win over Alvernia on Tuesday.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Emily Maher (Pennridge)
matched the single season record at American University for draw controls in the Eagles’ 19-6 loss to Navy on Friday night. The Pennridge alum recorded a team-high three draw controls to put her season total at 51, matching the record set by Gina Riitano in 2003.

Rachel Dirksen (Abington) scored five goals and collected three assists in Messiah College’s 13-10 win over Elizabethtown College on Tuesday. Senior Rachel Coyle (Souderton) was a key contributor defensively.

Senior goaltender Ali Cross (Upper Dublin) had two caused turnovers and made five saves in Shippensburg’s 16-10 win over East Stroudsburg. In Wednesday’s 16-10 loss to Bloomsburg, Cross had 10 saves while teammate Roxanne Brown (Pennridge) scored a goal.

Sophomore Amy Cross (Upper Dublin) scored a goal to knot the score 2-2 in No. 2 Syracuse’s 22-4 win over No. 10 Dartmouth. Her goal sparked a 12-1 scoring run that gave the Orange a 13-3 halftime advantage. In Saturday’s 22-11 win over No. 14 Georgetown, Cross also contributed a goal. For the season, Cross has seven goals and one assist.

Sophomore Lauren Purvis (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed a goal in No. 13 Penn State’s 15-3 win over Lehigh on Wednesday.

Stacey Pellechia (North Penn) scored a goal in ninth-ranked West Chester’s 18-8 win over Edinboro on Saturday.

Kendall Rood (Central Bucks East) contributed two goals and three assists in Eastern University’s 17-14 win over King’s College on Saturday. In Thursday’s 20-11 loss to Rowan, Rood contributed a goal and an assist. In Tuesday’s 23-14 win over Manhattanville College, Rood had four goals and two assists.

Victoria Brady (North Penn) scored back-to-back goals in Penn State Abington’s 14-8 win over the College of St. Elizabeth on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 17-9 win over Lancaster Bible College, Danielle Savoni (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed a pair of goals and five assists while Brady connected for her first had trick of the season.

Senior Kelly McKay (Pennridge) contributed an assist in Chestnut Hill’s 15-14 loss to Wilmington University on Thursday.

Karen Illuminati (Upper Moreland) scored a goal in Millersville’s 13-12 loss to East Stroudsburg. In Millersville’s 25-8 loss to Bloomsburg, Hannah Vogel (Hatboro-Horsham) scored a goal.

Stephanie Bianco (Upper Merion) scored a team-high four goals and grabbed six draw controls in 14th-ranked IUP’s 14-11 loss to Mercyhurst on Wednesday. In Saturday’s 19-13 loss to Gannon, Bianco scored two goals.

Alisha Aquilinio (Abington) recorded 11 saves in goal in St. Joseph’s 13-10 loss to Duquesne. Julie Mineweaser (North Penn) was one of seven seniors honored before the game. In Friday’s 17-11 win over St. Bonaventure, Aquilino recorded eight saves in goal.

Lindsay Walbrandt (Souderton) led the way on defense as she recorded four of Lock Haven’s nine caused turnovers in the Lady Eagles 15-6 win over Mercyhurst. She also grabbed three ground balls.

Leann Pica (Neshaminy) contributed a pair of goals in Kutztown’s 12-6 loss to Slippery Rock on Saturday.

Natalie Draham (Wissahickon) scored two goals in Bloomsburg’s 25-8 win over Millersville on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 17-10 loss to Dowling College, Carly Ball (North Penn) contributed three goals and three assists while Draham added a single goal. Ashley Bossert (Wissahickon) had a pair of assists.

SOFTBALL
Junior Erica Reis (Central Bucks East) had a home run in both games of Holy Family’s doubleheader sweep of Dominican College on Saturday (7-6, 8-5). Reis went 2-for-5 on the afternoon to go along with two runs and two extra base hits. Her home run marked her team leading fourth of the season. Junior Deanna Myers (William Tennent) went 2-for-4 at the plate and finished the afternoon with two runs, a double and one RBI. In Wednesday’s doubleheader split with Goldey-Beacom (3-4, 9-0), junior Lindsey Iden (Council Rock North) finished the day 2-for-6 with a double. Iden also scored two runs and drove in another. Sophomore Rachael Alligood (Harry S Truman) allowed only three hits to pick up her fourth win of the season in Holy Family’s 9-0 win. In the five-inning game, Alligood struck out five and allowed only one hit through the first four innings. In Tuesday’s doubleheader split with Bloomfield College (8-3, 1-2), Iden was 3-for-6 with a double. Alligood absorbed the loss in game two, allowing two runs on eight hits in six innings of work while striking out two.

Heather Hannum (Hatboro-Horsham) was 1-for-2 with a double and run scored in Kutztown’s 2-1 win over Millersville in game one of a twinbill on Saturday. In Friday’s 6-1 win over West Chester, Hannum was 1-for-1 with a double and run scored. Hannum, who has started 41 of 41 games, is hitting .325 with a slugging percentage of .456 for a Kutztown squad that remained fifth in the latest National Fastpitch Coach Association Top 25 poll released last Wednesday. 

Melissa Kulp (Upper Merion) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in Penn State Abington’s 4-1 win over Penn State Berks in game one of a twinbill on Sunday. In a 12-10 win in game two, Kulp was 1-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs. In Saturday’s 10-2 loss to Wilson in game two of a doubleheader, Jalisa Clarke (Council Rock North) was 2-for-2. In Thursday’s 14-2 loss to Haverford, Kulp was 1-for-2 with a run scored.

Chelsea Edwards (Hatboro-Horsham) was 2-for-3 with an RBI in Lock Haven’s 2-1 loss to Shippensburg on Sunday. In Monday’s 4-2 win over Shepherd University, Edwards was 2-for-3.

Shippensburg freshman Liz Parkins (Souderton) was named the PSAC Eastern Division Co-Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 9 after allowing one earned run through 16 innings of work and posting a 2-0 record. She is the first Raider softball player to be honored this season. Parkins threw a nine-inning shutout against Edinboro and a seven-inning complete game versus West Chester in which she gave up just one run. She did not walk a batter in 16 innings of work. Against West Chester in her fifth start of the season, Parkins struck out a career high nine batters and retired 13 of the final 14 Golden Rams that she faced. Other than a sixth inning double, Parkins allowed just five singles. The only run she yielded came on a two-out infield single, back-to-back stolen bases and another infield single. Against Edinboro, Parkins yielded just four singles in nine innings while striking out eight.

Parkins pitched the final four innings in Shippensburg’s 4-3 loss to East Stroudsburg, allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts while going 2-for-2 at the plate.

Devon Utterback (Central Bucks South) tossed a complete game three-hitter in West Chester’s 4-1 win over Shippensburg in game one of a twinbill on Saturday. Megan Kelly (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed an RBI double. In Tuesday’s 13-1 win over Millersville, Kelly was 3-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBIs. Utterback earned the win on the mound, scattering six hits and yielding just one unearned run. She walked one and struck out five. In West Chester’s 7-3 win in game two, Jess Schuck (Council Rock South) contributed a bunt single.
Kristen Palmerio (Norristown) earned the win in Lebanon Valley’s 3-2 win over Alvernia in game one of a twinbill on Saturday, allowing five hits and two runs (one earned) while walking three and striking out three in nine innings of work. In Lebanon Valley’s 5-4 win in game two, Palmerio also earned the win on the mound. Chelsea Detwiler (Norristown) contributed a hit and scored a run. In Thursday’s 7-2 win over Franklin & Marshall in game one of a doubleheader, Palmerio earned the win, allowing two hits and three walks with four strikeouts. In Lebanon Valley’s 13-9 win over F&M in game two, Palmerio contributed a two-run single and finished the game 3-for-4 with five RBIs. Detwiler had a pair of hits and one RBI. In Tuesday’s 7-2 win over Arcadia, Palmerio struck out seven and allowed five hits and walked four to earn the win on the mound. Detwiler contributed an RBI single.

Casey McGill (Upper Merion) contributed an RBI single in Green Mountain’s 9-1 loss to New England College on Tuesday. In Monday’s 10-2 loss to Daniel Webster, McGill doubled and scored a run.

Mary Ward (North Penn) contributed an RBI single and scored a pair of runs in IUP’s 12-4 win over Bloomsburg in the second half of a twinbill on Friday.

Deanna Dungee (North Penn) was 3-for-4 in Alvernia’s 5-4 loss to Lebanon Valley College in game two of a twinbill on Saturday. In Thursday’s 6-0 win over Dickinson, Dungee threw a complete game shutout, scattering five hits and striking out seven while improving to 8-1 on the season.

Junior Tegan Wendell (Abington) had five hits, three of which were doubles, and four RBIs in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 28-0 win over Notre Dame (Md.) in game one of a twinbill on Friday. Freshman MaryKate Ballerino (Hatboro-Horsham) knocked in four runs, homered and scored five runs. In Gwynedd’s 15-2 win in game two, sophomore Stephanie Farrar (North Penn) was 4-for-4 with four runs scored, four RBIs and a home run. In Gwynedd-Mercy’s 9-1 loss to Keystone in game one of a twinbill, senior Nicole Paleologus (Bensalem) accounted for Gwynedd’s only run with an RBI groundout. In Gwynedd’s 12-4 loss in game two, Ballerino was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a home run. Farrar added an RBI triple.

Alicia Hughes (Quakertown) threw a two-hitter to lead Millersville to a 4-2 win over East Stroudsburg in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Friday. She also hit a solo home run. In Millersville’s 6-5 win in game two, ESU senior Rachel Gieringer (Hatboro-Horsham) hit a three-run homer in the first inning. It was her fifth of the season and 17th of her career to move to within one of the school record. In ESU’s 11-3 win over Shippensburg on Tuesday, Gieringer was 2-for-5 with a run scored.

Hughes turned in one of her best performances of the season on the mound in a 2-1 loss to nationally-ranked Kutztown on Saturday, allowing just two earned runs on four hits and two walks in a complete game. In Millersville’s 10-3 loss to Kutztown in game two, Stephanie Kulp (North Penn) had one of her team’s three hits.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
Junior Regina Doherty (William Tennent) picked up an 8-2 win at number six singles in Chestnut Hill’s 8-1 win over the University of the Sciences on Saturday.

MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
East Stroudsburg freshman Brandon Mercer (North Penn) won the 100 in a time of 11.19 seconds at the Bloomsburg Invitational on Saturday. He also was part of the winning 4x100m relay team along with teammate Keith Parker-Washington (Upper Moreland) that posted a time of 43.30. Parker-Washington captured first place in the long jump (21-8 ¾) and finished fifth in the 200m with a time of 23.14.

Elizabethtown’s Luke Rotenberger (Quakertown) set a new season-best in the 400m hurdles by winning the 400m hurdles at the Gwynedd-Mercy Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on Thursday, posting a time of 56.91. He cut over eight-tenths of a second off his season-opening time at Susquehanna’s Jim Taylor Invitational.

Messiah College senior Zach Hoagland (North Penn) finished first in the 10,000m race at Messiah’s own invitational meet on Saturday, finishing with a time of 33:43.12.

Gwynedd-Mercy junior Sam Keliojor (Norristown) finished second in the 200 meter and fourth in the 100 at Thursday night’s GMC Twilight Invitational. Last Monday, Keliojor finished fourth overall in the 100m dash with a personal best time of 10.92 seconds at the University of Pennsylvania Invitational.

Bloomsburg’s Bryan Hennessey (Pennridge) finished fourth in the 800 with a time of 1:58.25 at the Husky Open on Saturday, earning a spot at the PSAC Championships.

Villanova freshman Chris Glennie (Pennsbury) finished sixth in the javelin (54.53m) at the Colonial Relays last weekend.

Tyler Dougherty (Central Bucks South) and Jon Eisemann (Central Bucks South) were part of St. Joseph’s 4x200 relay team that captured third place at the Colonial Relays at William and Mary last weekend, posting a time of 1:29.16.

La Salle University’s Nick Crits (Wissahickon) finished sixth in the 1500 meter race at the Patriot Invitational held on the campus of George Mason University, posting a time of 3:43.99. Teammate Paul Reilly (Upper Dublin) crossed the line in the 800 meter race in 11th place with an IC4A qualifying time of 1:51.04.

Steve Roberts (Quakertown) was part of Lock Haven’s 4x400 relay team that finished second overall with a time of 3:14.76 at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on Sunday. Their time is the top time in the PSAC this year and a NCAA provisional mark. Roberts ran a 48.6 split.

Millersville’s Kevin DiFlorio (Hatboro-Horsham) qualified for the PSAC Championships by running the 1500 meter with a time of 4:02.76 at Saturday’s Bison Outdoor Classic.

WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Elizabethtown freshman Ashley Underkofler (Central Bucks South) finished second in the 800m with a time of 2:29.04 at the Gwynedd-Mercy Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on Thursday.

Millersville’s Megan Meyer (Central Bucks South) won her heat in the 1500m run with a time of 4:52.58 at the Bison Outdoor Classic, giving her a spot at the PSAC Outdoor Championships. Her time was the fastest by a Marauder in the event this season and topped her own season best by just over 14 seconds. Michelle Blum (Central Bucks East) posted a time of 19:11.56 in the 5,000-meter.

Lock Haven’s Vanita Moses (Neshaminy) won the women’s hammer throw at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on Sunday with a mark of 159 feet. Christina Ohmott (Hatboro-Horsham) hit a PSAC mark in the pole vault (11-1.75).

Lauren Brown (Pennsbury) and Khaliah Darden (Pennsbury) were part of Gwynedd-Mercy’s 4x100 relay team that took home the title with a time of 49.87 at Thursday’s Gwynedd-Mercy Twilight Invitational. Last Monday, Brown and Darden were part of the 4x100 relay team finished fourth overall and dipped under the ECAC standard for the first time this year at the University of Pennsylvania Invitational last Monday, posting a time of 50.51 seconds.

Brenda Flaherty (North Penn) and Brooke Airey (Neshaminy) were members of Messiah College’s 4x400 relay team that finished first with a time of 4:15.93 at Messiah’s own invitational on Saturday.

Kelsey Rose (Upper Dublin) was part of St. Joseph’s distance medley relay that posted a fourth place finish with a time of 12:02.80 at the Colonial Relays at William and Mary last weekend.

Bloomsburg’s Lauren Bond (North Penn) posted a PSAC qualifying time of 2:22.85 in the 800 meters at Saturday’s Husky Open.

West Chester’s Kim McManus (Plymouth Whitemarsh) won the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 12:01.75 to hit a PSAC qualifying time at Saturday’s West Chester Invitational. Danielle Kuhn (Central Bucks East) was part of the 4x400 relay team that captured first place with a time of 4:04.06

Kutztown’s Elizabeth McLaughlin (Upper Dublin) finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:56.34 at the West Chester Open on Saturday.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Philadelphia Biblical’s Noah Prickett (Pennsbury) and Ethan Mawhinney (Neshaminy) were both named to the Continental Volleyball Conference All East Division squad. Prickett had the fifth highest kill per set average in the CVC, averaging 3.11. He finished with the fourth most kills during the regular season (361). Prickett also had the third highest number of service aces (44) despite missing several sets late in the season. Prickett finished tied for first in the service aces per set category (0.38). Defensively, Prickett finished eighth with 237 digs.
Mawhinney finished the regular season tied with the most service aces (46) in the CVC. His 0.37 average aces per set saw him finish third in the CVC. Mawhinney ranked seventh with his 97 total blocks while his 82 block-assists ratio ranked sixth in the CVC. He also finished in the top 10 in total kills with 273. Mawhinney’s .288 attack percentage was also one of the top in the conference.
