BASEBALL
Dan Hinchcliff (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with two runs scored in Catholic University’s 4-3 loss to Scranton on Saturday. In last Saturday’s 6-5 win over Susquehanna, Hinchcliff was 2-for-3 with a run scored and RBI. In last Friday’s 21-4 win over Susquehanna, Hinchcliff contributed a three-run home run.
Junior Matt Hone (Council Rock North) went 3-for-3 in Widener’s 5-4 loss to Alvernia on Saturday.
Keith Meyer (Council Rock South) was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Bloomsburg’s 8-3 win over West Chester. In Bloomsburg’s 7-2 loss to No. 17 West Chester, Meyer was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Senior rightfielder Eric Blood (Pennridge) had two hits and two RBIs in Chestnut Hill’s 8-6 loss to Felician College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s doubleheader sweep at the hands of the University of the Sciences, junior shortstop Joe Crane (Council Rock South) led the Griffins, going 4-for-6 on the afternoon with two RBIs in game one (a 7-6 loss). Ray Puskar (Pennridge) singled and scored a run.
Matt Albaugh (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and one run scored in Kutztown’s 9-0 win over Mansfield on Saturday. In Thursday’s 5-0 win over Mansfield, Albaugh went 3-for-5 at the plate.
Drew Frankenfield (Wissahickon) collected two hits, including a double, and scored three runs in York College’s 6-4 win over Montclair on Tuesday.
Jared Weed (Council Rock North) tossed 3.2 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win in IUP’s 6-4 win over Lock Haven in game one of a twinbill on Sunday. Weed allowed just two hits and fanned one. Robbie Zinsmeister (North Penn) had a pair of hits, including a triple, and scored two runs while Dylan Tice (Pennridge) also had two hits, including a double, scored two runs and contributed one RBI. In IUP’s 4-3 win in game two of the doubleheader, both Zinsmeister and Tice had one hit. Tice also scored a run. In Friday’s 5-2 win over Lock Haven in game one of a doubleheader, Zinsmeister and Tice both were 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Tice had a pair of RBIs. In IUP’s 7-1 win in game two, both players were 2-for-3. Zinsmeister, who had a triple and one RBI, scored three runs. Tice had a double and one RBI.
Mike Bradstreet (North Penn) allowed just one hit over the final two innings en route to this ninth save of the season in Rhode Island’s 5-2 win over Hartford on Wednesday. He now ranks third all time at URI with 12 career saves. In Rhode Island’s 2-0 loss to the nation’s top-ranked team, Florida State, Bradstreet pitched a scoreless inning in relief. For the second week in a row, the Rhode Island baseball team was the top-ranked team in New England, according to the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association.
Sophomore John Burns (Neshaminy) scored twice, doubled and walked in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 4-1 win over Eastern on Wednesday.
Mike Ferrier (Pennridge) blasted a two-run home run in Delaware Valley’s 10-1 win over Wilkes University on Saturday. In Friday’s 13-2 win over Wilkes, Ferrier was 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs. 
Pete O’Hara (Council Rock North) was 3-for-6 with three runs scored. In Wednesday’s 7-5 loss to Immaculata, Ferrier contributed an RBI double while O’Hara was 2-for-5 with a triple, a run scored and two RBIs.
Leftfielder Ken McCormick (Pennsbury) had three hits in Philadelphia University’s 10-4 win over Post on Saturday. He also had a hit in Philly U’s 6-1 loss in the nightcap of Saturday’s twinbill.
Senior Jon Gyles (Central Bucks West) doubled and scored a run in La Salle’s 11-3 loss to Saint Louis on Saturday. On Friday, Gyles also doubled and scored a run in La Salle’s 5-2 loss to Saint Louis. Junior Shane Petrellis (Council Rock South) tossed a scoreless inning in relief. In Wednesday’s 7-2 loss to Delaware State, freshman Mike McLeod (Harry S Truman) threw 2.1 innings of scoreless relief.
Freshman infielder Billy Fleming (Council Rock South) had four hits and three RBIs in West Virginia’s 11-9 loss to Seton Hall on Friday night.
Jordan Hofferman (Cheltenham) earned his sixth win of the year by tossing a complete game in Arcadia’s 6-2 win over Albright on Friday, scattering seven hits and allowing one earned run while fanning four and walking one. On Wednesday, Tyler Guentter (North Penn) tossed two innings in relief to earn the win in Arcadia’s 7-2 win over Wesley. He allowed one hit and one earned run while fanning four.
Craig Lepre (North Penn) delivered an RBI triple in the top of the 10th inning to propel Albany to a 1-0 win over Maine on Saturday.
Matt Hanson (Central Bucks West) was 1-for-3 with two runs scored in Moravian’s 10-0 win over Drew on Sunday. In Saturday’s 5-4 win over Drew, Hanson and teammate Dan Seitzinger (Central Bucks West) both collected a hit and scored a run. In Moravian’s 3-0 win over Drew in Saturday’s doubleheader sweep, Seitzinger was 1-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI. In Wednesday’s 7-3 loss to Neumann, Hanson had a hit and scored a run.
Senior Ryan Brown (Souderton) contributed a hit in both games of Messiah College’s doubleheader sweep at the hands of Elizabethtown on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 10-5 win over Elizabethtown, Brown was 1-for-3 with two runs scored.
Ryan Henritzy (Council Rock North) was 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Lock Haven’s 6-4 loss to IUP on Sunday. In Thursday’s 5-2 loss to IUP, Henritzy collected a hit.
Brian Camp (Cheltenham) allowed five hits and two runs while striking out five in Penn State Abington’s 2-1 loss to SUNY IT in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Saturday. Will Erskine (North Penn) and Michael Corrigan (William Tennent) both were 1-for-4. Corrigan also scored a run. In Friday’s 6-5 loss to Gallaudet University in NEAC Championship play, Corrigan and Erskine each collected a hit. Erskine contributed an RBI.
Senior Mike Franklin (Souderton) had a career-night at Medlar Field, striking out 10 batters and allowing four hits in Penn State's 2-0 win over Bucknell on on April 18. The 10 strikeouts is a lifetime best and the complete game is the first of his career. The Nittany Lions plated a single run in the seventh inning to break a scoreless tie and added another run in the eighth. Franklin did the rest, allowing just five base runners on the evening.
Franklin tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless relief in Penn State’s 8-7 win over Ohio State last Sunday, allowing two hits while striking out a pair. Greg Welsh (Council Rock South) earned the win, allowing one hit and one earned run in 2.1 innings of relief.
Junior Jake Kohler (Upper Dublin) pitched two scoreless innings in Ursinus College’s 6-0 win over Penn State Berks on Tuesday. Kohler allowed just one hit and struck out one. In Wednesday’s 6-2 win over Albright, junior AJ Wright (Council Rock South) allowed two hits and no runs in three scoreless innings on the mound.
Jeremy McAlack (Council Rock North) contributed an RBI single in Philadelphia Biblical University’s 5-4 win over Baptist Bible College on Wednesday to advance to the NCAA East Region Final where they fell to Lancaster Bible College 9-5. In Philadelphia Biblical’s 9-1 loss to Neumann on Saturday, McAlack collected a hit while Dean Diernbach (Central Bucks West) led the Crimson Eagles at the plate with two hits.
MEN’S GOLF
La Salle sophomore Mike Johnson (Hatboro-Horsham) shot his second straight 71 (-1) on the second day of the Atlantic 10 Championship at Heron Bay Gold Club in Coral Springs, Fla. on Saturday and tied for seventh with a two-under 142. Sunday’s final round was washed out by heavy rain and lightening, so the results through two rounds stood. Johnson’s performance ties the best finish by an Explorer at A-10s, and he posted the lowest 18 and 36 hole scores by a La Salle golfer at the conference championship. Freshman Greg Goodreds (Hatboro-Horsham) shot a collegiate low 75 (+3) on Saturday, moving up to 49th in the individual standings. The rookie was even par on the back nine. La Salle’s team score of 289 on Saturday was just one over par, the best score by an Explorer team at A-10s and a season low. In Friday’s opening round, Johnson also shot a one-under 71. Johnson carded four birdies, all on the front nine, and was in a tie for sixth place after 18 holes. Goodreds shot an 83 (+11) and was in 54th place.
Johnson was named the GoExplorers.com Student-Athlete of the Week on April 23 after finishing fifth out of 111 players at the Navy Spring Invitational last weekend. He fought through the rain and windy conditions to shoot a 75 on Sunday after a 74 on Saturday.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Sophomore Shawn Caven (Pennsbury) was 6-for-13 on face-offs in Ursinus College’s 9-3 loss to 19th-ranked Washington College on Saturday.
Johnny Casey (Abington) had a pair of goals in Widener’s 11-5 win over Elizabethtown on Saturday.
Bill Schwartz (Central Bucks East) contributed an assist in Eastern University’s 16-2 win over Misericordia on Saturday.
Heath Kupecky (Upper Merion) scored two goals in Messiah College’s 9-7 loss to Albright College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 13-12 loss to Lycoming College, Kupecky had a pair of goals.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Ginny (Armstrong) Martino, a 1984 Souderton grad who went on to excel at the University of Massachusetts, became the winningest coach in NCAA Division II history on April 17 when her West Chester lacrosse team knocked off top-ranked LeMoyne 15-12. The win was number 218 of her 15-year career, breaking the record of 217 established by former Millersville coach Barb Waltman, who retired at the close of the 2011 season after 33 years on the sidelines. Martino, whose Golden Ram squads have played for the national championship in eight of the last 11 seasons, boasts a career mark of 218-49.
Stacey Pellechia (North Penn) and Jacqui Burke (Pennridge) both scored two goals in West Chester’s 17-3 win over Kutztown in the regular season finale on Thursday. In Tuesday’s 18-15 win over fifth-ranked CW Post, Pellechia contributed a goal.
Ashley Bossert (Wissahickon) connected for the hat trick while teammate Aubrey Bossert (Wissahickon) added a pair of goals in Bloomsburg’s 19-9 win over East Stroudsburg on Thursday. The Huskies clinched the sixth spot in the PSAC tournament.
Senior Kelly McKay (Pennridge) collected a career-high nine points in her final collegiate game, Chestnut Hill’s 17-11 win over Wilmington University. McKay, one of two seniors recognized prior to the game, recorded six goals, three assists, two ground balls, two draws and a caused turnover.
Junior goalkeeper Lauren Mateja (Upper Merion) made 12 saves and recovered six ground balls in Millersville’s 15-6 win over Chestnut Hill on Monday.
American University’s Emily Maher (Pennridge) received second team All-Patriot League recognition. It was the first all-league selection for the sophomore, who set a single season record at American for draw controls with 57. She ranks 35th in the country and fifth in the Patriot League with 3.56 draw controls per game, leading an Eagles squad that ranks 25th in the nation in draw controls. She has set career highs in every statistical category this season, including goals (20), points (22) and ground balls collected (22).
Maher had a team-high three draw controls in American’s 14-7 loss to Navy in a Patriot League semifinal contest on Friday.
Messiah senior Rachel Dirksen (Abington) was the recipient of the Middle Atlantic Conference 2012 Spring Scholar-Athlete award for women’s lacrosse. The award is given to a senior in each men’s and women’s sport of each sport season. Nominees must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 (4.0 scale). Dirksen is majoring in marketing and boasts a 3.58 GPA.
Dirksen scored three goals and added three assists in Messiah’s 18-1 rout of Albright on Saturday. Dirksen became the program’s all-time leader in both assists (101) and draw controls (228). She entered the day tied in both categories. Earlier this season, Dirksen became the Falcons’ leader in career goals scored and career points. Messiah, ranked eighth in the IWLCA Top 20 poll, is the number one seed entering this week’s Commonwealth Championships. In 
Wednesday’s 18-1 win over Lycoming College, Dirksen tallied three goals and three assists. Senior Rachel Coyle (Souderton) caused a team high five turnovers.
Coyle was named Commonwealth Defender/Goalie Player of the Week for the week ending April 23. Coyle leads a stingy defense for the Falcons, who are undefeated in the Commonwealth in 2012. Coyle collected 10 draw controls in Messiah’s two road games, including seven in Messiah’s 21-6 win at Alvernia. She also grabbed three ground balls and an assist in each game. The Falcons held Widener to five goals despite the Pride’s average of over 12 goals a game. Against Alvernia, Coyle and the defense held Alvernia to just a single goal in the second half.
Lauren McDermott (North Penn) scored a pair of goals in La Salle’s 11-3 win over St. Joseph’s last Sunday. Sara Ciaverelli (North Penn) was one of eight graduating seniors honored before their final game in an Explorer uniform.
Goalkeeper Lauren Mateja (Upper Merion) finished with 12 saves for the second time in as many games in Millersville’s 17-10 loss to Shippensburg on Thursday. Hannah Vogel (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed a goal. In Monday’s 15-6 win over Chestnut Hill, Vogel had a pair of goals while Karen Illuminati (Upper Moreland) had a single goal. Mateja collected 12 saves, including nine in the second half to earn her sixth win of the season.
Stephanie Bianco (Upper Merion) contributed the hat trick as well as two ground balls and eight draw controls as IUP defeated 9th-ranked Lock Haven 14-13 on Thursday. For Lock Haven, Kelly Hamilton (Central Bucks South) had two assists, one ground ball, three caused turnovers and four draw controls. Lindsay Walbrandt (Souderton) had one ground ball and two caused turnovers while Kate Smyth (Pennsbury) contributed an assist. With the win, the Crimson Hawks wrapped up the fifth seed in the PSAC Tournament next week.
Lauren Greco (Council Rock South) was one of six seniors honored prior to Holy Family’s 16-11 win over Philadelphia University on Wednesday.
Kendall Rood (Central Bucks East) contributed the hat trick in Eastern University’s 10-5 win over Gwynedd-Mercy on Thursday. In Tuesday’s 13-6 win over Arcadia, Rood had two goals and two assists.
Junior Roxanne Brown (Pennridge) had three goals, an assist, a ground ball and a draw control in goal in Shippensburg’s 17-10 win over Millersville on Thursday Freshman Garrie Grenfell (North Penn) scored a goal and senior Ali Cross (Upper Dublin) recorded nine saves. It marked the final game of the season for the Raiders. Cross moved from attack to goaltender this season and finished with 125 saves, boasting a .436 save percentage and six victories. In Tuesday’s 16-14 loss to Georgian Court, Grenfell scored a goal while Cross had six saves in goal.
Amy Powell (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored a pair of goals in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 21-6 loss to Goucher on Tuesday.
Leann Pica (Neshaminy) had four ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers in Kutztown’s 17-3 loss to No. 10 West Chester on Thursday.
Penn State Abington freshman Tori Kimberly (Central Bucks West) was named to the second team North Eastern Athletic Conference all-conference squad as a defender. Kimberly was credited with 16 caused turnovers, 26 ground balls, three draw controls and a goal.
Danielle Savoni (Hatboro-Horsham) tallied a hat trick and an assist in Penn State Abington’s 19-12 loss to Medaille College in the North Eastern Athletic Conference quarterfinals on Wednesday. Teammates Kimberly and Victoria Brady (North Penn) both added a goal.
Senior Molly McLenigan (Plymouth Whitemarsh) started all 16 games for East Stroudsburg, including the Warriors’ season finale on Thursday, a 19-9 loss to Bloomsburg. Freshman Alyssa Oxenford (North Penn) also started all 16 games.
SOFTBALL
Amanda Sadowl (Hatboro-Horsham) allowed one run on five hits to earn the win on the mound in Mount St. Mary’s 2-1 win over Coppin State on Tuesday.
Deanna Dungee (North Penn) notched the win in relief on the mound in Alvernia’s 11-2 win in five innings over Widener on Saturday. On Tuesday, Dungee struck out seven and threw a complete game shutout in Alvernia’s 2-0 win over Ursinus College.
Kristen Palmerio (Norristown) notched a pair of wins on Saturday, including a one-hit performance. The Norristown alum, who improved to 17-8, was masterful in Lebanon Valley’s 5-0 win over Lycoming in game one of a twinbill, allowing just four base runners prior to a single in the sixth. She allowed two base runners in the sixth but got out of the inning with back-to-back strikeouts. It was just the second time in the game that a runner reached second. She struck out seven total batters. In Lebanon Valley’s 8-1 win in game two of the twinbill, Palmerio pitched another seven innings, allowing six hits without a run. She had three more strikeouts. She also collected two hits. In Lebanon Valley’s 17-1 loss to Susquehanna on Wednesday, Chelsea Detwiler (Norristown) finished the day a perfect 2-for-2.
Melissa Kulp (Upper Merion) pitched a five-inning no hitter before allowing a hit in the sixth in Penn State Abington’s 4-3 win over Gallaudet on Tuesday. In Penn State Abington’s 21-7 loss to Gallaudet in game one of the twinbill, Rebecca Patenaude (North Penn) went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.
MaryKate Ballerino (Hatboro-Horsham) was 3-for-4 with a triple in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 4-3 win in eight innings over Philadelphia Biblical on Saturday. In Gwynedd’s 5-1 win in game two of Saturday’s twinbill, Tegan Wendell (Abington) had an RBI double and scored a run. The Griffins ended the season with a final record of 8-28. Saturday’s twinbill marked the final games for senior Nicole Paleologus (Bensalem), who has started over a hundred games in her four seasons at Gwynedd.
Mary Ward (North Penn) delivered a home run and two RBIs in IUP’s 14-10 win over Lock Haven on Thursday on the second day of the 2012 PSAC Softball Tournament. In Wednesday’s 4-3 come-from-behind win over 22nd-ranked California (Pa.), Ward delivered a sacrifice fly that plated the game winner.
Jamie Schwartz (Souderton) was 1-for-2 with a run scored in Eastern University’s 3-2 loss to Messiah College on Wednesday.
Senior Samantha Schoell (North Penn) was 1-for-3 in Temple’s 3-1 win over St. Joe’s on Wednesday.
Chelsea Edwards (Hatboro-Horsham) was 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Lock Haven’s 8-4 win over Mercyhurst in a PSAC Tournament game on Thursday. In Friday’s 9-1 win over top-seeded Kutztown, Edward contributed a hit and RBI.
Junior Deanna Myers (William Tennent) contributed a run-scoring single in Holy Family’s 10-2 loss to Felician College on Friday in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships. On Thursday, Myers launched her fifth home run of the year in Holly Family’s 5-4 loss to Dominican in a CACC playoff game. Freshman Erica Reis (Central Bucks East) also hit her fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the fourth inning. Reis finished the game 
2-for-3. In Holy Family’s 8-5 win over Wilmington later in the day, sophomore Rachael Alligood (Harry S Truman) earned the win, working 4.2 innings with five strikeouts. Lindsey Iden (Council Rock North) became the third player this season to reach the century mark in career hits. Iden’s double in the third inning against Dominican was hit #100 of her career.
Alligood was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Honorable Mention. This marks the first time in her career that Alligood has received postseason honors by the conference. In just her second year with the Tigers, Alligood has 12 wins in her career and has an earned run average of 3.38. Alligood has 163.2 innings of work thus far in her career and has struck out 88 batters. Also, the second-year pitcher held opposing batters to only a .252 batting average. This season, Alligood appeared in 19 games, including nine starts. She is 4-4 on the season and has pitched 69.2 innings. Alligood also leads the team with 39 strikeouts and has a career low .238 batting average against this season.

MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Millersville’s Chris Jackson (Plymouth Whitemarsh) grabbed a spot in the postseason in the 400-meter hurdles. His time of 57.67 was good for a seventh place finish at the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday in Shippensburg. Zach Kohler (Pennridge) had a season-best discus throw of 34.83 meters to place 23rd. On Friday, Jackson was part of the 4x400-meter relay team that clocked a time of 3:22.83 to finish sixth at the Penn Relays. Keith Ogden Jr. (Cheltenham) was also part of the relay team, which posted the fastest time by a men’s team this season by nearly two full seconds. In an individual event, Ogden finished with a time of 53.71, his second best time of the season. He placed 19th in the 57-man field.
Sam Keliojor (Norristown) was part of Gwynedd-Mercy’s 4x200 relay team that finished 31st overall in a program record time of 1:29.30 at the Penn Relays on Thursday. They were the third DIII finishers in the event, less than a quarter of a second behind both The College of New Jersey and Rowan University.
Brandon Bennett-Green (Cheltenham) was part of Penn State’s sprint medley relay that picked up the program’s second straight ‘Championship of America’ victory at the Penn Relays on Friday, posting a time of 3:18.47 and running away from the field by nearly three seconds. Bennett-Green and Matt Gilmore (Cheltenham) posted a time of 3:08.60 in Friday’s heat of the 4x400 relay. On Saturday, the 4x400 relay team placed second in the ‘Championship of America’ with a school record of 3:04.78. With a pair of top finishes on Saturday – which included Penn State’s first place finish in the 4x800 relay, the Nittany Lions were named ‘Power 99’ School of the Day for the Saturday session.
Chris Niles (Central Bucks South) and Luke Rotenberger (Quakertown) were part of Elizabethtown’s 4x400 relay team that finished fifth in its heat and second best among MAC schools at the Penn Relays with a time of 3:25.65.
Nick Crits (Wissahickon) and Paul Reilly (Upper Dublin) were part of La Salle’s 4x800 relay team that posted a second place finish out of 26 teams in the college championship at the Penn Relays on Saturday, clocking a time of 7:30.62, which was 2.31 seconds off UNC Wilmington’s winning time.
Eric Wolfe (Central Bucks South) was part of Shippensburg’s 4x400 relay that finished first at the Paul Kaiser Track and Field Classic on Saturday, posting a time of 3:18.83.
West Chester’s Brian Pellechia (North Penn) finished third in the discus at the West Chester Open on Friday with a throw of 125-11. He also was third in the hammer with a throw of 143 feet.
Jon Eisemann (Central Bucks South) and Tayler Dougherty (Central Bucks South) were part of St. Joseph’s 4x400 relay team that finished 15th in the Sprint Medley Championship of America, posting a time of 3:28.69. On Saturday, Dougherty and Eisemann were part of the 4x200 relay team that turned in a time of 1:28.05 to finish sixth. Matthew McGarvey (Central Bucks West) was part of the 4x800 relay team that finished eighth out of 27 teams with a time of 7:36.63.
Steve Roberts (Quakertown) was part of Lock Haven’s 4x400 relay the captured first place in the College Men’s Wetzler/Pennsylvania relay race on Friday at the Penn Relays, clocking in at 3:16.25. It is Lock Haven’s first win at the Penn Relays since 1993.
East Stroudsburg freshman Brandon Mercer (North Penn) finished first in the 100-meter dash at the Lehigh Invitational on Saturday with a time of 11.21.
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Millersville’s Megan Meyer (Central Bucks South) posted a season-best time of 2:17.26 to place sixth in the 800-meter run on Saturday at the Paul Kaiser Classic in Shippensburg.
Ashley Underkofler (Central Bucks South) was part of Elizabethtown’s 4x400 relay team the posted a season best time of 4:05.20 and moved into 10th on E-town’s top 10 list with its performance at the 118th Penn Relays on Thursday.
Junior Caitlin Stuetz (Cheltenham) won both the hurdle events at the eighth annual Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday, finishing the 100-meter hurdles in 14.59 seconds and the 400-meter intermediate hurdles in 1:02.70. Sophomore Monique Clemons (Wissahickon) was part of the 4x100 relay team that won the event with a school record time of 47.43 seconds. On Thursday, Stuetz post a 400-meter hurdle time of 1:02.55 at the Penn Relays.
Ijeoma Iheoma (Council Rock South) was part of Penn State’s distance medley relay that clocked a school record 11:08.41 at the Penn Relays on Thursday, bettering a 30-year old school record.
Brooke Airey (Neshaminy) was part of Messiah College’s 4x400 relay team that finished ninth in the Centennial/MAC championships, finishing with a time of 4:08.73. In Saturday’s Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg, Victoria Hepp (Council Rock North) posted a season best time of 13:14.32 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, which was a qualifying time for the MAC championships.
Lauren Brown (Pennsbury) and Khaliah Darden (Pennsbury) were part of Gwynedd-Mercy’s 4x100 relay posted a time of 50.68 on Thursday at the Penn Relays.
Kesley Rose (Upper Dublin) was part of St. Joseph’s distance medley relay that finished sixth in a field of 14 squads at the Penn Relays with a time of 11:49.40. On Saturday, Rose was part of the eighth place 4x800 meter relay team that posted a time of 9:08.30 in the field of 21 teams.
Vanita Moses (Neshaminy) finished ninth in the hammer throw and was the top Division II competitor in the College Women’s Hammer Throw at the Penn Relays on Thursday with a mark of 170-5. She also hit a season-best in the shot put. Her mark of 39-5.25 is the eighth best mark in the PSAC this season. Last weekend, Moses broke her own school record and hit a NCAA provisional mark in the hammer throw. On Friday, Moses picked up a big win in the hammer throw at the Bloomsburg Maroon and Gold Invite with a throw of 175-05 (NCAA provisional), which was just off her school record toss last weekend.
Alexis Rankin (Hatboro-Horsham) had a first and second place finish for Bloomsburg at the Maroon and Gold Invitational on Friday. Rankin took first in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.07 and was second in the 200-meter dash in 26.66 seconds. On Saturday, Kate Dodds (Upper Dublin) ran a time of 2:29.11 in the 800-meter run at the Lehigh Games.
Megan Meyer (Central Bucks South) was a member of Millersville’s 4x400 relay team that collected a season best time at the Penn Relays on Thursday, finishing with a time of 3:57.62 and placing 65th overall.
