STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Sterling Limo Player of the Week
Kenneth Grandy, North Penn – The senior wide receiver was an impact player in all three phases of the game in North Penn’s 54-14 win over William Tennent. Grandy had six receptions for 186 yards and one touchdown. He also had an interception and returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown.
Coach Dick Beck says: “He had the interception, which was a great play by him. The punt return was set up pretty good, and he caught everything that was thrown to him. He caught a long touchdown pass, he had a big third down conversion. He really did everything well. He’s our leading receiver with 29 receptions for 684 yards. He’s averaging over 20 yards a catch. He has five touchdowns, and he’s played every snap on defense.
“At the end of his sophomore year, he transferred to LC. He was there for one week of camp, and he transferred back to North Penn, so we had to wait 21 days. He did play during the regular season, but he was not eligible for the playoffs. At North Penn, we abide by all the transfer rules. We don’t try to sneak anybody on the field. He’s a great kid – he’s very fast, he catches the ball, he runs good patterns, he’s smart. He’s really been a major asset for us.”
Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Week
Central Bucks South Offensive Line - Tommy Wood, Justin Williams, Ryan Gibson, Eric Wilson, Dalton Hinkle and Aaron Collachi – Members of the Titans’ offensive line were the unsung heroes in Central Bucks South’s 24-14 win over Souderton that saw the Titans accumulate more than 350 yards of total offense. The O-line was particularly effective in the second half when the Titans seized control of the game. It was a win that not only cemented the Titans’ spot in the District One 6A Tournament, it also prevented Souderton from winning a share of the SOL Continental Conference title.
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “I’m very proud of how far this group has come this season. We have played a lot of good competition and they have been through many hard fought battles. Including last Friday night at Souderton.”
Sterling Limo Defensive Player of the Week
Connor Loveless, Central Bucks East – The senior linebacker led the defense with 11 tackles and an interception in Central Bucks East’s 28-6 win over Pennridge.
Coach John Donnelly says: Connor finished his career with a great game posting 11 tackles and one interception. He is undersized, played most of the season hurt, and is pound for pound one of the toughest players we have had in a while. We wish him the best of luck as he heads into wrestling season.”
