DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Council Rock North defense – The defense forced four turnovers in Council Rock North’s 20-13 win over Harry S Truman, a win that snapped a four-game losing streak for the Indians.
Coach John Greiner says: “The Council Rock North defense forced four turnovers led by a tenacious first quarter interception by Vaughn Vanderslice, followed an interception by Avi Patel late in the first quarter, then to close the 1st half, Avi Patel caused a fumble recovered by Sammy Goddard, and finally, a fourth quarter interception by Jack Paessler. Gavin Papp, Will Scibona and Dylan Siveter led the team in tackles while the defense line which included Will Paris, Nick Honer, Paul Esposito, Ryan Pomperantz and Noah Hoskins helped clog the running lanes, limiting a dangerous Truman offense to 13 points. Will Paris secured the victory with a punctuated tackle near the goal line. The defense did a tremendous job of securing the 20-13 victory.”

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dan Zelenko, Pennsbury – The senior kicker connected on a pair of field goals in a five-second span in the closing seconds of the first half of Pennsbury’s 27-24 win over Pennridge. His first was from 28 yards, and his second – a 41-yarder – turned out to be the difference in the game.
Coach Galen Snyder says: "Dan has got a really strong leg, and he’s done an excellent job kicking off for us the entire year. He made a big field goal at the end of the first half against Central Bucks East. That was a field goal that halted their momentum a little bit, and the same type of thing against Pennridge. We added Dave Crocker as the kicking coach. He works with our kickers, long snappers, holders. Between him and Dave Howe, who works with our special teams, they do a good job Dan Zelenko is a big strong kid. He likes the weight room. Crocker and Howe both said, ‘Hey we can make this.’ I go by what they told me. They said he could do it, so I said, ‘All right, let’s do it.’”
Sterling Limo Honor Roll:
Rondell Bradley, Harry S. Truman - Rondell Bradley of Truman, according to Rock North coach John Greiner, played a pristine game in a heroic effort in the Tigers’ 20-13 loss to Rock North. He played a key role on the Tigers defense, hustling all over the field to make key tackles to thwart key drives in the second half. In addition, Bradley played a key part in the Tigers’ offense, leading their two touchdown drives with his legs while running out of the wildcat setting at quarterback. He also had key completions in the fourth quarter, driving the Tigers to the goal line late in the game.
Stephen Broderick, Upper Moreland – The senior running back ran for 179 yards and three touchdowns in Upper Moreland’s 42-14 win over Wissahickon.
Central Bucks South defense – The Titans’ defense limited Abington to just 157 yards of total offense in Central Bucks South’s 34-19 win.
The Council Rock North Offense amassed over 260 yards offense in a 20-13 victory over Truman. The offense was led by workhorse Gavin Papp, who had three touchdowns – two rushing and one receiving. Papp had 128 yards rushing and 20 yards receiving. Julian Matera did an awesome job orchestrating the offense, passing over 120 yards and throwing a touchdown pass. Skill players Vaughn Vanderslice, Will Scibona, Jack Paesller, and James Paesller had 11 combined catches to keep the chains moving throughout the game. The offensive line of Teddy Shepardson, Ryan Pomperantz, Trevor Whitlock, Kyle Paris and Gavin Papp did a workman-like job up front against a very aggressive Truman defense.

Williams, a sophomore cornerback, had three tackles (1 TFL) and an interception, and Zettle, a junior defensive end, had six tackles and two sacks.
Ganz Cooper & Conor McFadden, Central Bucks West – Cooper, the junior quarterback, threw just five passes, but connected on four for 142 yards and three touchdowns – all to junior Conor McFadden and all in a first half that saw the Bucks take control of the game in Central Bucks West’s 22-0 win over Neshaminy. With the Bucks leading 14-0, McFadden also delivered a key play on defense, stopping a long run shy of the end zone with a touchdown-saving play.

Kutzler, a senior linebacker, was an impact player on the Indians’ coverage team, delivering three tackles on kickoffs.
Ethan Shine, Central Bucks East – The senior running back was once again a workhorse out of the backfield in Central Bucks East’s 42-35 win over North Penn. Shine was key in helping the Patriots control the clock, carrying the ball 39 times for 290 yards.
