National Conference 217 Photography Player of the Week
Allie Brady – Junior center forward from Pennsbury High School
Notable Accomplishment:
Brady is the top scorer for a Falcon squad that is battling for a postseason berth. The junior forward had a goal and an assist in the Falcons’ important 3-2 win over Abington on Oct. 8.
Note from the Coach:
“Allie is very aggressive,” coach Jamie Parell said. “She’s doesn’t give up on the ball. She’s one of those determined players – she would dive for the ball if she needed to, and I think that’s why she’s successful. She’s always there for that second effort.”
About Allie:

Continental Conference 217 Photography Player of the Week
Amy Coughlin – Senior forward from North Penn High School
Notable Accomplishment:
Coughlin is a dangerous weapon in the striking circle. The speedy forward leads the Maidens in goals scored, and during the week ending Oct. 9, Coughlin contributed four goals and an assist for a North Penn squad that has lost just one game in SOL play.
Note from the Coach:
“Amy has always had very good instincts on the field,” coach Carrie Jankowski said. “She has very good game sense of where to be in the open field, and she has a very good knack for where to be in the circle. That is where her numbers really have come from – the fact that she positions herself well in the circle.”
About Amy:
Part of game I enjoy most: When our team works together using give-and-goes to score goals.
Most memorable moment playing field hockey: The bonding time with the team on the bus rides home from away games.
My role models are: My mom and dad because they are always so supportive
Music that gets me pumped before a game: ‘Tokyo Drift’ by the Teryaki Boyz
Vanilla or chocolate: Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles
American Conference 217 Photography Player of the Week
Meghan McCullough – Junior left midfielder from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School
Notable Accomplishment:
McCullough scored a goal during corner play that turned out to be the game winner in PW’s important 2-0 win over Upper Dublin - a win that avenged an early season 2-1 loss to the Flying Cardinals. The junior midfielder is the Colonials’ corner striker, and she is also a key to her team’s transition.
Note from the Coach:
“Her stickwork is very strong, and she’s an excellent passer,” coach Marianne Paparone said. “She sees the field very well. She just has a great passion for the game. She plays as much as she can at every opportunity, and she just wants to be as good as she can be. Her understanding of the game and her skill level make us a better team.”
About Meghan:
Part of game I enjoy most: The new quick start rule – it makes the game so much faster and more exciting.
Most memorable moment playing field hockey: Being able to attend the Camp of Excellence in Barcelona, Spain, this summer, where I got to meet field hockey players from all over the world. This camp gave me the opportunity to play at a higher level.
My role model is: Coach Jens Knudsen. He was my first travel soccer coach, who taught me to be a team player and that ‘size doesn’t matter.’
Music that gets me pumped before games: ‘Waka Waka’ by Shakira and ‘Remember the Name’ by Fort Minor
Vanilla or chocolate: Chocolate
